I just had a tip off that The Good Guys is having 15% off everything sale for the Australia day long weekend!
Not sure if this just applies to the ACT or whether other states will also benefit.

This was mentioned to me in-store Friday night as they wouldn't drop a price to what I wanted to pay. Seemed very silly that they would prefer me to walk out with my money and count on me coming back the next day rather than just give me the 15% off on the spot :|

Just picked up our Panasonic 42PZ700A for $2400 with the 15% off! Seems the deal is Canberra only though.
I went last weekend as they were having a fridge sale and the Australia Day sale hadn't yet been advertised. Didn't get 15% off but it was still worthwhile - and I wouldn't be surprised if prices had crept back up before today's sale ;)

Yes, they retail for $489 in the Good Guys so $415.65 after 15% discount. Only if you live in Canberra though.
Can someone confirm that it is Canberra-only? Winter seemed a bit unsure, although I'm guessing that he is right.
There are only two the Good Guys in Canberra, but none of them mentioned 15% off in their web portal. Can't seem to find it in my local Good Guys either.
Great deal if it is true though. They already have pretty good deals, and 15% off can be a real good sweetener.
