  • i dont even see a voucher section on myebay?

  • I got this reward - but I'm wondering for the people who say they didn't get one, does it have to do with your settings with eBay? I didn't use to get any offers, but someone pointed out how to change your user settings (has to do with what sort of communications ebay sends to you) and if you say No, you don't get any, but if you say yes, you do… so best to check those settings moving forward.

    • -1

My settings allow all promotional emails etc. I still didn't receive one. I just contacted eBay via online chat and the lady said she'll escalate the issue to have my account checked as to why I didn't receive it.

  • got it!

  • just got mine

not that keen considering i have to spend 100..

    • Have a list of stuff that you will always use but can stockpile on thats cheap on ebay.. Like brita filters from the UK, instax film.

    • -1

You can help me by buying some stuff for me on my behalf, if you can't think of anything to use it up yourself!? Of course I will pay off the remaining amount after coupon so all you'll be doing is using up your voucher on my behalf… :D

  • damn them and there targeting !

  • People who got the offer.

Did you have stuff in your cart?

    Use the app vs desktop?

    • stuff in my cart? no

desktop site. dont have app installed.

  • Any amazing eBay-only deals around the $100 mark?

  • Has anyone seen in-step price increase for any popular goods or from popular sellers in response to this offer?

  • Just got this offer - but for me it didn't ask me to spend $100 minimum. Did anyone else get this offer?

    • You are the lucky ones.. Just try and update us…

      • +1

On mobile email browser the minimum $100 spend was not there. But on my desktop email browser, it is there.

Long story short - same deal as everyone else. $20 off - $100 spend.

  • Can't post it as a deal as there are only 4 available but Apple TV - 32GB $179.99 delivered after coupon @ Think Of Us ebay

  • -4

    The code doesn't work.

  • My splash page always come up with NZ promotions
Promoting CLICKNZ15 for 15% discount from NZ retailers
Can't use this because you need a NZ registered Paypal account

Any idea how to fix this? My eBay acc & payal are both Aus registered

    • +1

      Vpn

      • All good apparently my acc was US registered (no idea how) eBay are onto it!

        • How did you fix this? I have exactly the same problem!

        • Send ebay an email asking them to update your registration to Australia, only they can do it despite what your settings say

    • Are you with Myrepublic? Mine does same.

      • Actually they didn't fix it :/ yeah I'm with myrepublic

So damn annoying, the last 3 targeted eBay discount, I didn't get. I always shop on eBay as a regular customer. Seriously, companies NEVER give regular customers anything……

    • Have you met me, myself and I? ;)

    • yep and my friend who shops once in a blue moon gets these..ffs

  • It should work for all.

Go to an item that is over $100 such as

    Example: (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/252237619358)

Then go to the area under "Last Item Available"

It has Pay only AU $89.95 [ Show me how ]

    Hope this helps

    • +2

      may not for all
      maybe you got the offer

      • Possibly, but I tried on 2 accounts and one made a lot of purchases (about 100) the other made 0. It worked for both.

        • +1

why not you check if you get the offer or not.. its easy… just under my ebay

  • need more suggestions on what to buy….

    • You can help me by buying some stuff for me on my behalf, if you can't think of anything to use it up yourself!?

  • +2

    $130 odd for a 500+ gig SSD, that's entertainment!

  • The "THANKS20" doesn't work for me. I tried a few items over $100 and applied the code then received an invalid code message like "Looks like that's the wrong code. Please double-check and try again."

    • If you're targeted Ebay probably sent you an email about the offer.

      • I've never received such email. The only emails I received from Ebay were all SPAMS.

        • +2

          I guess you're not targeted then. :)

  • There is no section on My Ebay that says "Voucher" does that heading only come up if one is available.

  • Just confirming - if I win an auction, then add stuff to the cart to total >$100, I can pay it all at once with the voucher? Right?
    Thanks in advance

    • +2

Yep, just did it with best offer. I think it's the same for auction winning as stated here
      http://pages.ebay.com/shoppingcart/

You can pay several sellers with one payment
If you have items from several sellers in your eBay shopping cart, and they all accept the same payment method (such as PayPal), you can pay for all the items in your cart with one payment. You can also pay for your won auction or best offer items at the same time as the other items in your cart.

      • thanks, yeah I think it should work then :)

      • FYI they have to all be in the same currency. Otherwise you'll have to go through the checkout again, losing any vouchers.

  • Used this to get a smart keyboard for $140 my new ipad pro from this deal,https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/285344. Usual apple price is 215$,

  • Didn't see the advert on the front page and only spent around $5 in November (screen protectors).

  • +1

    yo! midnight shopping accomplished.
    got two items:
    BowersWilkins P3 and chromecast 2
    nett damage $91

    • Oh, nevermind - guess you already used it up…

  • Spent hours shopping to make use of this offer. Keep in mind that you can only have 10 different items in the same transaction (but quantity doesn't matter) and they all need to be in the same currency. To easily check whether or not it's the same currency when searching for items, you can untick 'Convert prices to Australian dollars' under 'View'>'Customise'.

And after all that, I forgot to use cashrewards. Oh well, I'm not going to lose any sleep over $1.25 that I may or may not get.

  • So, I was just talking to someone on Ebay chat and apparently because my Paypal email address is different from my Ebay email address (I use one specific email alias for Paypal for my own peace of mind), then I don't qualify for the offer.

I then said it wasn't really fair and he started going on about soccer….

"I can understand that It's just like football team, only qualified team entitle for world cup. If you don't qualify it, there's no possible to play the match or win the cup."

    Um…okay…

    • Have you tried changing your eBay email address to match your PayPal to see whether you get the offer?

I didn't qualify for the promotion as well and I have different emails too.

    • +3

That's strange. My email addresses for eBay and Paypal are different and the offer worked fine for me.

    • I think he was just messing with you. I used gmail for ebay and live mail for paypal and the coupon worked just fine.

  • -6

Anyone who's got this working for them and doesn't know what to get themselves or don't want anything for themselves can use them on me! ☺ I'll pass along you a list of items equaling or more than $100 so this voucher will work for you and of course pay you the remaining balance….

    • +5

Sure thing. There will be a $20 service handling fee though.

      • Sure!

    • +1

yeah i wont do your things with anything less than $25

      • So you want $25 handling service fee?

  • Can I use this with the Make an Offer option?

    • Can't see why not. Make an offer just negotiates a final value, it doesn't work like a coupon.

    • You can, I used mine with one.

  • I've been waiting for an offer like this to buy myself a new Kindle. The Officeworks ebay site usually has them for $169, but they've been "sold out" since this deal went live. They haven't taken the item down, so every time I go to the ebay site it comes up on the front page, and Ebay have even emailed it to me as a "recently viewed item". How much would you bet me that Kindles are back in stock at Officeworks the day after this deal ends?

    • So it turns out I was wrong about that - Kindle Paperwhite is back in stock at Officeworks Ebay and I just bought one!

For anyone else who may be interested:
Kindle Paperwhite eReader (black) - $169 ($149 with THANKS20 if buyer is eligible).

  • Didn't get the offer even after making a fair few purchases in Nov and Dec so I contacted eBay and this was their reply:

I do understand that you purchased items in the months of November and December but still you've not received the voucher. I'll be glad to assist you.

I'd like to let you know that this voucher was offered to members who have purchased items worth $100 or more. I've checked and can see that you have placed an order in the month of November which cost $520 but still you didn't received the voucher. I'm sorry for the inconvenience this has caused to you.

As you are our valued member, I'd request you to please go ahead and place the order of $100 or more excluding the postage cost and let us know by replying to this email with the item number and your PayPal email address and we'll request a manual credit to be applied to your PayPal account.

I'd like to inform you that the crediting might take 15-20 business days to be credited to you PayPal account once requested.

So anyone who missed out on the voucher even after making purchases of $100 or more during Nov and Dec I suggest you shoot eBay an email and they should be able to help you out.

    • +4

To the person who negged me. I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have a lot of money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you say sorry now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will neg you.

      • Have a plus-vote. I'm glad you're getting the $20 as usable credit.

        • Cheers mate. I needed that positive affirmation. Means a lot.

    • Ah so that's how I got mine lol. Rarely make large purchases on ebay but did one in Nov. For once buying big paid off twice (used the 20% off then too).

  • thanks op

  • -2

I have two accounts and used other when became available on another account i still to use before expire.
I used other on a auction i won overseas.
I have since put a best offer in on another overseas auction and got counter offer and accepted.
Its not the $100 spend to qualify but there is another item i want on another ebay site overseas with two combined will be the $100 spend.
Problem is item i just won is not in cart?
And other item i not purchased yet but when i add that to cart its only one there?
Do i need to buy them and then checkout and add code then.
Im only buying the two items to qualify for the discount.
I think when i have used similar codes i had items in cart and did it that way.
Buy one was won with best offer and other i still to buy.
Im assuming that if both item are to be paid by me both with show up when going to pay?
As i need the two items to be paid together to qualify.
As i used my other code overseas it should be ok with these. Both are from two different ebay sites but through my account.

    ?

After looking into this maybe I can't use this $20 on my purchase/s as its different currency one in US dollars and other uk pounds that's so annoying so for me to use it I need to buy other stuff in same currency wish I knew this.
And codes that give you discount

  • -5

wtf? targeted yet so many +? seriously that many got the code working? I got 3 ebay acc, none worked.

  • Great. I just bought a bunch of stuff and hadn't read this. I always do this. Well done, me. Well done. <slow clap>

  • -3

-Got the voucher code (Saw the large advertisement)
    -Quite excited
-A week later Proceed to buy $101.5 stuff which tooks about 18 hours deep research to look for the lowest price, re-evaluate the stuff I really need & making sure all of the stuff purchased reach close enough to $100
    -Enter-ed THANKS20 code
-Quickly click the Confirm and Pay (1-click pay) without looking if the code works or not as Im confident it would work & the code is due to expired in another couple hours
-Realized in the last seconds that the code doesnt work and it doesnt deduct 20% off $100
-Reacting quickly by quickly & mindlessly pressing the back button (Reflex)
    -Too late
    -Also forgot the 1.25% cashrewards
    -RREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE FML
-One by one DM/PM the sellers to cancel all the order

    Nice job ebay for trolling, gr8 b8 m8 I r8 it 8/8
    18 hours for nothing
