Got one of these after the comment from @tonyrulez on this deal here.

I think Mantistek MK1 is better quality and certainly genuine, it's on sale for AU$13.32 (US$9.99) on Banggood(banggood.com)

Price is slightly higher due to the AUD/USD.
It is a great keyboard for your media centre, Xiaomi Mi Box, nuc/chromebox. Works well out of the box and love the buttons for left/right mouse click and side scroll. More convenient than the Logitech K400R. Going to get another one.
Thanks tonyrulez for the recommendation!

Update: Thanks to @Clear pay in USD with no foreign transaction fee credit card to get it cheaper. Worked out cheaper with the google conversion by a few more cents to Clear's one.

  • Can anyone recommend a good entry level Kodi Box to use this with?

You could go the Xiaomi Mi Box on the deal by fossilfuel going for about $100AU. Can load Kodi on it.

For those interested, from this site it appears as though Mantistek is potentially compatible with Apple TV 3rd/4th Gen which is what I'll mainly be using it for.

Will update to confirm if it does work.

    Thanks OP!

This particular model isn't bluetooth so probably won't work with apple tv.

      • Yeah the need to use their dongle uses up one of the USB ports which are a scarce commodity with these tv boxes, be nice to find one that is Bluetooth and works with these $50 android TV boxes. They only seem to bundle air mouse remotes which don't have qwerty keys.

    • Definitely not. It is however funny that they put iphone and ipad in the photos. Perhaps there is a dongle/adapter for USB receiver???

  • Thanks bought.

  • I have a rechargeable one. This one isn't; from the photo you can see that the mini usb port has been blanked off. Great keyboard though.

  • Can I use it for Smart TV as keyboard ?

  • Suggestions for similar that have bluetooth as well as RF or at least bluetooth part anyway. RF just means one less keyboard. Bluetooth to suit Amazon firestick

  • Is this compatible with raspberry pi 3?

One of the comments mentions they use it on the pi.

Solid remote with a couple quirks.

The remote works well but does need to re-sync from time to time. Buttons feel nice and the trackpad works surprisingly well. The battery >compartment covers could be a much better design but I am optimistic they will hold up. I use the remote with a Raspberry pi running Kodi and it >works great.

  • I have this and FYI in Android a lot of the buttons do not map to what you would expect, you would need to root and edit config files to fix this. My Logitech wireless keyboard maps fine out of the box, but with this keyboard buttons like email, web, home do not do the expected, even the multitasking screen is not mapped to a useful button

Also compared to my Logitech the touch pad is rather unresponsive

Yeah the price is right but if you want to be multitasking with web browsing, youtube, email, Netflix, etc…you will need something better or be turning back to your tablet a lot of the time

  • would anyone know if I can i use this with the steam link?

  • I have one of these (USB dongle not Bluetooth) for my kobi. Plug it into the Xbox one s and it works great for typing.

  • Hey is there a nice version with an illuminated KB? i'd like to use one for a Raspberry Pi 3

    Thanks OP, bought.

Has anyone got their keyboard yet?

    • Yeah still waiting also

    • I have received mine. I'm in metro VIC if that matters.

      • Mmm good to know they are actually coming. Still waiting here.
