their raw denims have good reputation yeh but the pre-distressed ones are pretty average imo

As someone who owns Nudie and Japan Blue, I would say JB are way way better for only a little more, but Nudie are better than anything I've owned before the JB.

they're good denim in general, but in the raw denim market, they're considered budget :P
pure blue japan have heavier weight jeans that may not be so great in aussie climate, +1 to nudies for lighter oz options.
Pricey coz they include a trolley, streetwear for the ultra rich homeless guy who has everything.
They are seriously great jeans. My last pair lasted me 4 years of being worn almost daily, including several overseas trips. In the end the cotton in the pockets was what wore out!
Take them to a nudie store and they'll repair them for free!
I loved my last pair of Nudies from years bac that i bought in store on a half price and this is super tempting… but $20 to ship them is kinda crappy

Great/best quality and fit, specially the "made in Italy" ones. I owned couple of their jeans and chinos.
Beware of the nudiejeans.com return/exchange policies: (1) "Will deduct 20 AUD from your refund when using the pre-printed UPS return label." and (2) "Australia, UK, US, and Sweden are not eligible for exchange".
I prefer buying from David Jones (able to try and refund/exchange easily), they have %40 off ATM and will have extra 20%-40% soon.
So you can't exchange, but a refund is still possible? That's silly. It's critical for an online retailer to allow for exchanges for different sizes.
Paddington store is an option for Sydney. Always have heaps of stock at sale time. Prefer to wait for 2nd discount at DJs during their new year sales though as have scored extra 20-40%, as you say, by waiting last 2 years. Was in men's cbd store today, & they have masses of Nudie jeans on markdown. Don't know why there are so few listed on DJs website.
If they're selling these products in Australia then they are bound by the Australian Consumer Law and cannot contract out of it with terms and conditions.
I looked at David Jones and they only have a sale on the less popular styles of Nudie according to their website - is it different in store?

You have to try them on man. Plus obviously pending material and how you wash/care for them. They can shrink too much so be careful. I love my jeans, I think only one of my pairs isn't made by Nudie.
