This uhd player normally retails at about $600. And can be found for somewhere in the $400 region if you do some research.
It is expensive but appears to receive good reviews.
If you are looking for this it appears to be best price at the moment.
Beware you may gain no benefit if you do not have a 4K TVs.

It's been around $295 several times before - JB Hifi, Seconds World, Bing Lee. $288 is a very good price. I have two.
I'll bet there's a good Boxing Day deal around the corner.HN was $275 a fortnight ago and i bet i could of got a better price if i tried. $288 isnt bad but isn't good.
These BD players also arent very good.. Xbox one s is better.
The Panasonic DMP UB900 is the best and they just released a UB700 which is cheaper once again.
So far the samsung is the lowest graded 4k player.
Rubbish
What review suggests the Xbox S is a better player?
@Blakhomer: the whole AVS forum, reddit and many more. everywhere that i googled for reviews.
Xbox one s also supports dolby atmos (beta) too. Sammy 8500 doesnt even have HDR apps on the dash unlike panasonic and xbox one s.
2 months ago the samsung WAS a better option, then microsoft released Dolby Atmos to xbox one s making it the first console to fully support home theatre. Panasonic then came along releasing the UB700 making it fall again and in January Sony is releasing their 4k player which will make the samsung fall again in the ranks. Not to mention all the others such as oppo 4k player etc
@neofelis: Still rubbish. Noise of Xbox one s, cost of Panasonic, mean Samsung at $288 is a good deal.
Good price.
Ends in 88? So many these days. Pauline warned us this would happen.
As an ozbargainer, that's fantastic!
Compared to the usual $x.99, it's an 11 cent saving!!
The XBOX provides better value though. Even if this does provide a slightly better experience.
I think he's referring to the Xbox One S which can.
Really i never knew that.
The only reason I would buy the Samsung designated 4K blu ray player is if my amplifier and speakers were capable of Dolby atmos which the Xbox One S isn't capable of throuputting.
Given I don't have Dolby atmos the Xbox One S is basically the same price but with way more function.
Xbox one s does support atmos now.. Its in beta with official release january.
Finally someone has a brain here.. Xbox one s does 4k and dolby atmos and has HDR apps AND plays games, all for $299!
It shows that 4K blu-ray players are getting cheaper. It would be a result of the release of the PS4 Pro.
You mean the One S.
Oh yeah. I mistakenly thought the PS4 Pro could do 4K blu-ray, even though it supports 4K video. Sorry for my mistake!.
last one on eBay as well, can collect at Woolies.

Picked mine up for $275 from Harvey Norman a fortnight ago.
I also purchased a 65" 9500 for $3400 and the HW-K950 for $1699.
Good price.
It's actually fairly cheap for a 4K player.
