  • Thanks, just ordered 2 :)

  • Use by date good?

    • Nov 2018 :)

  • What is the health benefit of these??

    • +1

It's a source of protein like eggs. If you are getting enough protein from your diet there is no need. If you are not getting enough protein from your diet then getting it from supplementation such as this product is a good way. Generally the more expensive the brand the better tasting it is and the better it mixes with milk.

    • +1

If you lift weights your body will require more protein, it's the building blocks of muscle. Basically it's easier to mix a quick shake than it is to eat 5 extra eggs or drink 2 litres of milk.

  • Before buying check local Same price bigger bag 4.5kg
    https://www.nutritionwarehouse.com.au/gold-standard-100-whey…

    • Showing as $160 in that size?

    • Not same price

      Iherb = $27.50 per kg
Nutrition warehouse = $35 per kg

    • 5lb (2.2kg) is $90
      or
      10lb (4.5kg) is $159

  • +1

    Sorry guys missed calculated

  • This is a good price that deserves, more votes to be honest.

    • Actually I take that back a bit, I thought this was the 10 pound bag. At this price point it is the same as Costco.

      • -5

        proof?

also, you need a $50/yr membership to costco.

        • Ive been buying the 6 pound bag for $80 at Costco in Adelaide. I am a member anyway, save more than membership cost in cheap fuel regardless.

          @lukeloop:

this is a 8 pound bag for $10 more (new customers) and is delivered to your door

        • @easternculture: As I said, it deserves a few more votes and is a good deal. I personally don't like signing up for a lot of places so this deal is not for me. This new customer extra discount sysytem annoys me too. I am not a business owner so dontt care too much about the logic of it all. I think businesses should reward existing customers..anyway..whatever.

        • @lukeloop: what is the name of the Costco one?

        • @lukeloop:

5lb (2.2kg) bag at Sydney costco have been $85 (ive also been buying it) so $90 for 3.6kg is a good price

  • Every time I see this stuff on the front page I mistake it for Optimum Dog Food.

    • Then maybe you should start eating human food.

      • Woof!

      • Woof!

    • I'm the opposite - I see those dog food posts and think of optimum nutrition!

Some years ago, you needed to have a license to bring whey/dairy derived products into Australia, there were widespread posts on bodybuilding.Com of quarantine destroying this stuff on the way in. Bodybuilding.com also had a warning on their site when you tried to shop and send protein to Aus.

I might be totally wrong now, but, buyer beware!

    • lol. You have to have some sort of license or certificate or something else to be able to import protein. It's been like that for a long time.

      • All these guys buying might be surprised when their whey is destroyed =\

  • great deal

  • Since peeps are saying it's so good, I thought I would try. Thanks.

  • How does this compare to Aminoz with 20% coupon?

    • You needed to spend $200+ for that and looks like it's expired..

      • New customers on Aminoz get a 1 time 20% coupon for signing up as well.

  • Thanks OP - first time buyer.

  • Thanks EC- just ordered a bag, cracking price.

  • I've tried applying the [YEAREND10] promo code but it keeps on saying "You have entered an invalid promo code." Does the code only work for certain items?

    • +1

There now seems to be an automatic 15% off discount applied to selected brands that ends on 4th January, 10am PST as per the banner in the homepage.

It now pulls the price of the above item down to $98.47 ($88.62 for new customers with IHB123 code applied).

  • Thanks EC, order arrived on my doorstep this morning 👌

  • Thanks EC got mine delivered today as well

  • I have ordered whey protein many times in the past and never had issues.

This was my first time ordering from iHerb.

This order has been "in transit" for over 4 days with no change in status on AusPost website. I am concerned it will not arrive - I tried calling and using the online tracking service and it appears there is nothing I can do to check up on where exactly this parcel is?

Looks like others have received theirs so it could just be my bad luck … kind of sucks not being able to do anything about it or check in on it. I live in Richmond Melbourne and never had issues with deliveries before.

    • Welcome to Australia Post

This has nothing to do with iHerb

I had 2 packages go missing in November with the status being "ïn transit". Australia post didn't bother doing anything about it if the package was not insured and refused to to take any liability.

One of the packages was a $300 headphone.

      • Interesting. I went down to Australia Post this morning and they don't know where the protein parcel is.

It hasn't been scanned off so it could be anywhere. They advised that I wait (and do nothing) and hope that it magically appears one day.

        Great service!
