  • Cheapest on staticice is $80+Postage

  • Think this is the one I got earlier this year for the garage, fair sweet router. Got nothing N to use with it, but it has great range/reliability

  • DAMNIT

wish it was adsl2 modem + router

  • Don't think this works with 108mbps 802.11g network cards… so would it be a downgrade for me unless I upgrade my network adapters to 802.11n.

    • It does state this: * Specifications Standards: IEEE 802.11b , IEEE 802.11g , IEEE 802.11n

I've got a friend who is looking for something just like this, I'll let him know about this.

      • This is based on the router information on Whirlpool… and I shouldn't say "doesn't work with", more like does not support 108mbps on 802.11g

  • Anyone guess what model it is, and whether will run openwrt etc?

  • F5D8236au4

    doesn't run ddwrt

nor does it look like there's a lot of support from belkin

  • This router does not support 802.11a does it?
I am wondering because of the picture they are using next to the router.

    • I'm sure all wireless routers provide access to 802.11a/b/g/n devices. But the slowest device will be the bottleneck of the access point. Meaning the speed of your network will depend on the slowest device connecting to it. In your case, a 11a device. So even if you have a 11n device, your network will only work at 11a speeds.

Unless you have a dual band router.

    • Actually, it won't support a. a runs in 5GHz only. b and g in 2.4GHz only. OTOH n can run in both 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Not all routers or clients support both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. Looking at the specs above, I would say your 802.11a client is out of luck with this one.

      • My bad.
