Fixed… the title… not the knee.

  • wonder if i can use this to support my knees when doing heavy squats and leg presses

    • Id also like to know. I really dont know why lifters wear these type of things.

Knee wraps are mainly used to spring up at the bottom of a squat; not that great for your knees but great for PBs.

Knee supports like this deal are used for stabilisation, especially if you have loose joints or a ligament injury.

    • I am paranoid about my knees squating.

They go pop and evetything else when i squat more than 100 kilos. I bought 2 to see if it will help at least with the popping so I dont get paranoid and stop well before my max.

        just squat 99kg's…problem solved

        • +1

          Solved.

Ha you should hear the pops when I do my max. Everyone tells me its normalish but it drives me mad. However suppose i get the odd pop when walking so it must just be my joints.

        • @kasp:

Careful. I've got a broken knee. My knee used to go pop all the time. Twice now it has 'popped' which left marble-sized bone/knee parts floating around. I've had surgery once since the first time it happened about 8 years ago. Happened again a couple months ago. I'm currently awaiting surgery to have the current bone fragment removed.

      • They go "pop"? It could be that you have a over-used iliotibial band. There are exercises that you can do to get rid of this popping.

    • You'll need something more heavy duty for heavy squats.

    • They also have an Elastoplast Adjustabler Knee Stabiliser which gives 'extra firm support' on special for $23.99 down from $46.45 if your knees are extra wrecked.

    • Hi,

I bought these and squated 140kg 5x5 reps.

Although they had trouble fitting around my upper thigh, they do a good job at knee stablisation. These straps, they do not totally assist with the like knee wraps would, however they give more assistance than IPF powerlifting knee sleeve.

I like how these knee wraps keep your knees nice and warm too, I definitely recommend them considering the price.

isn't E-sports what they call competitive video gaming? why would you need a knee support for that?

    • +1

      … this is only E-sport, not E-sports :(

    • +13

For all the times you need to squat up to scream "camping noob fgt" at the LAN party.

      • +13

Nah, its for those that "rekt" their knees "carrying noobs"

      Tea bagging.

    • This is for pro Overwatch players who have no hands, and thus use their feet.

Do I really knee-d one? Save my money?

Either way you will have support.

    • Do you have a dicky knee?

"$10.99 is the cheapest that I could find."

as this can be bought on ebay ship from china for $3-5

    • +12

These kinds of things from China are pure sh*t

      • +4

        Pure is good right?

  • Anybody know the quality of the product? Does that last long?

    Another knee-jerk reaction impulse buy

  • I used to play e-sports, then I took an arrow in the knee.

I had a fully lacerated patella tendon and used one of these for awhile during rehabilitation. They are quite good, especially for the money - I used one 10x the price now, which is better, but if you don't want to spend that much, I recommend grabbing this Elastoplast one.

  • Yep, i have developed middle age syndrome.

And my left knee is the start of it all.

  • This is a really good price for this.. this kinda stuff is normally very, very expensive from chemists in aus

  • Just bought it and tried it on…damn how am I going to use this during sport in summer? It's so warm!

    • +1

And wash with some sort of anti bacteria wash after use as it will stink.

    • According to the official product page, that's what its meant to do - "Provides warmth and support to weak or injured knees"

Good thing for Dicky Knee to wear…

  • if you wear this…you can do the Asian squat…lol

CW's RRP is a bit of a joke; a quick search reveals Amcal has it for $12.95 (down from $13.95). Having said that, it's still cheaper. Good find, OP.

  • I'm knee deep in bargain wonderland

  • Does anyone know how these differ to these non adjustable knee supports?

    • This adjustable one has Velcro at the thigh and the calf to allow adjustment for different size legs, whereas the non-adjustable ones are more like a slip on tube, one size thing.

      • Gotcha, what about in terms of strength and support though?

  • I had a look at it tonight. It can be bulky.

So do open the box and check it out before paying for it.

    • Would you feel like it will interfere with playing sport?

      • I guess it depends on which sports you play.
        Running should be fine.

coz it seems to cover 10cm+ on top and below your kneecap - which may make you feel bulky

        Material-wise should be fine

  • good for use whilst snowboarding?

Nothing cheap about this. Go online and check out eBay., You can buy a selection of knee and elbow supports for around $4 to $6 delivered!

  • I have had one of these for a while. Good for sports, running, cycling. I would recommend something different if going hiking. After a couple of hours it starts to cut into the back of my knee. I also have a tube knee support with no straps that doesn't cut in, gives a little less support and more movement.
Still a good buy, both my knees give me trouble if not supported during exercise.

  • Got one. Thanks OP!
