depends what you are after.
try shopping for Penrite HPR 5 5W-40 (purple label).
Repco sell 20litre drums for $206 full price which is around $7.20/litre with 30% off.
The biggest that SCA sell is the 10litre for $120 (scratch that, it's not on their webpage anymore), they have 5 litres for 62.99 which would be around $9.50 with a 25% off sale .
Hell, even autobarn have 20litre for $200 (special order). And using 6litres per change every 6 months, a 20litre is a convenient size to get.
They're REALLY not…..
People get this impression because 'impulse buys' there are more expensive (air fresheners, fuel additives, etc).If you try and order spare parts, they're USUALLY cheaper than SCA's parts counter.
In addition, Oils are a loss lead product for ALL the chains, they're ALL within $2~5 of each other, so stocking up on your favorite oils is always a good idea during these sales.
Batteries are good value with this deal too, cheaper than SCA in my experience.
One of my favorite things to buy in these sales, are the things in the $10 tools bin.
Makes them $6.50, and building a PROPER 'car tool kit' in an old backpack or something instantly becomes a very cheap exercise :)what should be in a good car tool kit?
Good car tools!
common socket sizes, breaker bar, ratchet, and some spanners. probably want some long nose pliers too.
What's this tool bin you speak of? Link please?
Link, Repco, hahahahahahaha. Although an employee told me they are working on a fancy new site, Ill believe it when I see it though.
including specials or from rrp ?
Pretty sure its 30% off full price, which makes it very uninteresting.
If you're buying an expensive stereo it makes a nice difference even over cheaper retailers.
Last time I was at Repco, the range was hardly interesting. I ended up getting an Alpine unit from JB HiFi down the road, because even Albert's couldn't come close on price.
Though if you have a good staff member, I've often been offered "Special, or Catalog?"
They can't add them, but they can give you the greater.
Items on 'special' aren't discounted further
Anyone bought brake rotors/discs from them? (TRW branded I think)
How's the price?
And quality compared with RDA/DBA?TRW are oem suppliers to co's such as bmw merc etc, they produce top quality items!
Cheers bro.
Price might also be good as they are on sale at the moment(40% off).
I doubt this is truly storewide. If it was then this deal would be a further 35% off! Highly unlikely. Title of this deal is therefore misleading. Still a good deal IMO though.
Off of RRP, discounts don't stack http://www.racq.com.au/membership/what-you-get/discounts/Rep…
Okay so the title should say 35% off RRP Storewide…
I think 35% off storewide is accurate, if it was 35% off of already discounted prices then it would state minimum 35% off storewide as some items would be greater than 35% off.
Will this also apply to car batteries?
Unlike SCA, I rarely see Repco exclude batteries.
So, hopefully!Thank you!
Will this also apply to car batteries?
Doesn't look like it. http://www.racq.com.au/membership/what-you-get/discounts/Rep…

you should mention it's only for the auto club members.
Done, thanks.
How much for membership
You need to be a member of an Auto club - prices vary….. (NRMA, RACV etc….)
