  • Also available for $199 if you are on the Vodafone network (also technically cheaper to buy and unlock for $75 if you are also on Telstra or Optus but might be worth a few extra $ to avoid carrier bloatware).

    • Am I right in thinking the Voda option should work with a TPG SIM since they moved from Optus to Voda's network ?

  • Is it a good phone? would it replace an ageing xperia z2?

    • Low end device, only get it if you want the small size and the stylish design (IMO the best looking phone for 2016).

Is a 5" phone considered small?

        • +1

People are spoiled in these days…

        • Unfortunately, yes. 5" phones are still marketed as having a "large screen", but it's very hard to buy one smaller. Even low-end phones like the Moto E have a 5" screen now.

I remember when the 4.7" screen on my HTC One XL was, er, XL…

        • Screen is reasonably big but the body footprint is very trimmed down. Basically an iPhone 7 with a 5" screen.

  • This or Yota?

Need a sturdy easy to use smartphone for my dad.

      Iphone se?

    • Get the sony for your dad, better for support/warranty in case he ends up needing it.

    • I would get the yota so he can read ebooks on the e-ink screen

  • $229 direct from Sony Australia Online Store.
