Hi All, long time lurker, first time poster here.

Noticed that IWantThatFlights has posted Qantas' Fly Away Sale with Shanghai and Hong Kong but excluded Beijing, so here is the Beijing deal.

Also, Beijing is $80 cheaper than Hong Kong or Shanghai at $519 return.

For parties of two or more, can combine with the Amex offer to get $150 off your booking (note that credit card surcharges will need to be included).

For travel between 15 Feb and 30 Mar 2017, 19 Apr 2017 and 15 Jun 2017.

Sale until Tuesday 6 Dec.

  Better still, use the Amex deal to buy a Gift Voucher (get 5 QFF points per dollar spend - 3500 points) then use the Voucher to avoid the CC fee and buy the flights. Amex deal states it excludes Gift Vouchers however I've successfully seen the Amex statement credit on past offers which include this exlusion.

    But you would loose your credit card travel insurance.

      The horror stories about CC travel insurance make me personally take additional coverage anyhow

        What horror stories. I've relied on credit card complimentary overseas travel insurance for twice annual holidays for >10 years and the one time I made a claim Zurich paid up more than $5000 promptly with just a $100 excess deducted. The trick is you have to READ the PDS and know what you're getting coverage for and that applies to ALL travel insurance, free or fee.

        @arctan: I've switched credit cards regularly and in any case the credit cards switch insurers regularly too!! However, Westpac Platinum Visa is one card that currently is underwritten by Zurich. Here's a list of the others using Zurich .. :-) .. !!

    Nope, direct flight. They are starting a direct daily service from I think 26 Jan.
