    First 800… Boo

    • +3

I gave Lumo Ameego a call before I purchased and they said the offer will be removed once 800 are reached, so there should be no risk of missing out on the bonus $10. I'll add that to the OP

  • Are there Coles Myer gift cards available?

    • Coles Group & Myer Gift Cards aren't available. Coles & Kmart gift cards only.

Coles Express are also available at the usual 5% off but not part of this promo.

  • i wonder if the 800 has already exhausted

    • Still available, sorry should have mentioned that initially. Lumo Ameego said once the 800 are up they'll remove the offer.

      • great deal then!! :) is there a limit per household? ie: if i buy 2 x $100, do I get 2 x $10 gc?

        • +1

No limits mentioned. They did the offer at the end of last year but for 1 day only, I got $400 worth and got the $40 free gift cards a few days later. Did the same again this year (4 x $100).

      • I found the 5% Coles discount link on rewards page but cant see this $10 offer there. Also it only allows buying $50, $200, $500 cards. What am i missing here :(

        • +1

Looks like it's sold out now. Expired.

  • same offer as last year, which was very good.

  • Wish I was a customer!

  • They charged 1.00% Credit Card Surcharge…which is $0.95 to pay for $95… :(

    • Woolworths cashrewards e-giftcards is the best. 5% off without any surcharge :)
Use the above if you can't get this/miss out on the lumo offer.

  • Looks like they charge 1% for credit card payments with no other payment options.

    • Amex?

      • Doesn't matter…no matter you pay via Visa/ Master / Amex

        • Can confirm 0.95 (1%) for Amex, which is fine as the reward rate is roughly 1.5%.

        • @plasmapuff:

How did you calculate a 1.5% reward rate? Is that the same for Velocity platinum?

        • +1

          @arcticmonkey:

Amex altitude black gives 3 points per $.

Worked out equivalent cost of a $100 gift voucher in points.

          No idea about velocity.

    • you can pay by amex, but many coles card seller does this even they still charge you 1%, like agl rewards.

    • Ah yeah thanks added that in.

  • Can these be converted to Coles MC Giftcards later?

    • +2

Only if the attendant or the machine allows it. I've been to some self checkout machine which has been upgraded that doesn't allow payment with gift cards.

    • No. System doesn't allow it.

  • are LUMO rates cheap i would be asking

    • Cheaper than click energy…click energy are doing a $100 reward for switching to them…after comparing their unit price…Lumo is lower.

    • My rates with Lumo have always been good in SA, I reguarly compare with other offers going around. Properly compare by using competitors unit prices + discount amount vs my unit price + discount. However can't comment on other states where rates/competitors are different. If you find a better offer there is an option on their 1300 number, u give them the rates and discount amount and they'll match/beat it.

We switched to Lumo a few months back and they were the cheapest when we did the switch. Origin came back to us with some very deep discounts, but Lumo was better because I can get discounted gift cards from their rewards program.

If you are in Vic, use this site for comparison: https://compare.switchon.vic.gov.au/welcome
      Otherwise, try: https://www.energymadeeasy.gov.au/

  • can't add to the Cart.
Looks like the offer has ended.

    • Still working okay here? Got to payment screen.

  • Has anyone received the bonus $10 giftcards?

    • Bonus eGift Card will be sent out within 10 business days

Have to wait for a while.

  • Just purchased. Got Order No. as 343. I supposed that's how many purchases have been made so far.

  • I think all gone now.i can't even open the reward page

    • Just did it - worked fine.

  • Lumo is very good in price. Been with them for last 7 years. They always price matched lower rates from other provider. Recently they put me on new rates but gave 33% off on electricity and 20% on gas. With their new rates i was paying $3 more on elwctricity and $9 less on gas but they give me $50 credit on top to make deal sweeter.

  • Is it too late for me? I can't add to cart, the 2 dropdowns are empty.

    • Yes it expired a couple of hours ago sorry, looks like the 800 are gone.

      • I see oh well thanks anyway :)

  • Imagine if you bought all 800 cards? That's a profit of $11240 hehe

This is how you survive in Australia and buy housing

    • Offer is limited to the first 800 eGift Card purchases

I would argue that 800 gift cards is still only 1 purchase :p

That reads like it's the first 800 transactions, not just the first 800 gift cards.

    • That's a spending of $76,760

  • Received the $10 bonus gift cards on Thursday.
