I'd keep an eye on the US Dell Refurb site. I picked up this same laptop for ~$1200USD, while travelling in the US. It is a superb machine, don't get me wrong - but $2300AUD shouldn't be a bargain for this when you can get it on the US site for a lot less (inc. premium support and global warranty.). Yes, you do need to be in the US to get it, but if you/family/colleague is travelling -> they are tiny items to bring back.
Coil whine was present on mine, but update fixed it without having to get support.
@FairCrack $1600 for a refurbished laptop that is also from US is not really a deal either. I'm sure a lot of people would rather pay the extra 30% to have it brand new with an Australian warranty.
@avatar - can't argue with that. 30% is either a reasonable saving for a great machine, or a little premium to pay for local ease and peace of mind. perhaps the good middle ground is to follow the advice many suggest which is to keep an eye on the Dell Outlets (specifically AU then to wipe out the global/local issue). In my opinion they are great value for money.
I would expect this price to be for the XPS15, not the 13. A tiny refresh to Kabylake doesn't warrant such a price increase to the previous generation. Or am I missing something else here?

This is the QHD+ version with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD. It's about right.
Why is this expired? Of a mod expires something then please put why. As far as I can see this deal is not expired.
The eBay 10% deal expired at midnight so therefore this Dell deal as advertised is no longer available.
Just putting it out there I ordered one when it was 20% off and its still not shipped yet. I have a dell order number now but nothing else.
