    SOLD OUT!!!

      That's weird :/

    Back up now :)

  • Is this really a deal? You need to have a membership which is $65 unless I'm missing something?

    • +1

Many people do… if you do, then it's a deal.

No different to Costco, or countless other subscription/membership services.

The fact I stated this in the title:

      (Membership Req)

Generally means if you don't have it, it won't apply to you :)

      • Oh I've just literally never heard of entertainmentbook.com so I just assumed it wasn't that common. If it's a deal for anyone else then great :)

        • +1

I'm sorta surprised you haven't heard of the Entertainment Book actually!

        • @Spackbace: I assume it's one of those services where they make most of their money based on the fact you pay the $65 fee and then only use it maybe twice a year to save $10 or something? I've seen different services like that before but I feel like you are more likely to lose out in the long run, then again it may be different so I've got no idea.

          @Chachamaru7:

It's a voucher book (or app) with tons of discounts

If you dine out, or stay at hotels, you'll make the money back pretty quick. Many restaurants/cafes etc have 2 for 1 offers, so really only need to go out 2-3 times a year and you've made back your $65.

Even family stuff, going to various places (zoos, museums etc) quickly tally up.

        • @Chachamaru7: Definitely not the case - some of the money goes to Charity and all the businesses put in some offers that attract people to eat at their place.

Usually buy one, get one free - so for example, go to 3 places in a whole year, save $25 on a main meal and it's already saved you money, that is, if you eat out already. On top of this you get deals like this Moonlight offer and other discounts all year round.

While some people struggle to find value - e.g. Never eat out, most people that own the book use it extensively or enough to cover the tiny annual $65 cost.

I have always been hesitant to buy vouchers for Moonlight Cinemas because you have to book in advance. And because I live in Melbourne I never know how the weather would be like on the day I book.

For what it's worth, the site lists that if the screening is cancelled, you do get to choose another screening at no extra cost.
