        Yes need to activate thru vpn initially and then it works without vpn from that point forward.

        @kearnsy: I dont use a VPN. So it needs to be done for all devices and anytime you have issues and want reinstall, it will be a pain.

        OP needs to put it in Post. Posting that it is only for US is not enough.

        You can get Kaspersky for $24-29 ( 3 devices ) for 2 years subscription.

        @Gaggy: I think activation of a license and re-use of already activated license are two different things. You should be able to delete and add licenses once its active without worrying about using the VPN for it.

      Were you able to activate the product? I read one of the Amazon reviews where someone was not able to activate his code when he was in Mexico.

        I have not purchased it myself but I believe using any free VPN only for activating will do the trick if local activation does not work.
