Just change your account region, I did it to get a couple of free US exclusive titles, then swapped right back. I'm an Aussie account at the moment, who also is the proud owner of 2 US only games. It's really easy to do too, just give it a Google and you'll be on your way.

Think the Canadian stores a bit cheaper still. For Live members the Deluxe is 75CAD for example and their dollars close to 1:1 with ours.
For a while I've found the Canadian stores more often than not the better option of the two.

If buying directly with a credit card doesn't work, you can buy gift cards from the Singapore Microsoft Store and use those.

(card wouldn't work to directly buy the game, but all good to buy the gift card)
Bought the game with the gift card code, (~$5SGD remaning)
Game is in my account, currently downloading the 49GB over a slow ADSL2+ connection.
@Jusdrifn 86: Awesome, I am curious to know why card did not work. Did you try add/save your card to your account before making the purchase? and did you use a VPN or simply go to the website and buy it?

Very common according to the Whirlpool thread.
I wasn't using a VPN but apparently that doesn't matter, its more about the country the card was issued in. The country doesn't matter for gift cards specifically, so it cost me ~AUD$4 more than it should have to buy the Gift Card essentially (but I have a few $ credit now for my next purchase).
Try for yourself, but the card didn't work for me, tried through the card saved to my account, and via paypal. No luck directly purchasing the game.
Available on Amazon for a dollar more ($39.99). Just need to use a US address.
The Microsoft site didn't like my payment methods, plus I had Amazon referral credit.
Was just about to comment the same, looks like amazon finally dropped the digital download prices to match. Much easier to purchase via amazon
Managed to grab the Ultimate version from Singapore Microsoft Store for ~$94AUD.
Didn't work with Credit Cards / PayPal so I went and purchased a $100SGD Xbox Digital Gift Card at the following URL:
