Saw this on special today. Combined with the $100 cashback and the 10% off from here makes it the cheapest around by a fair margin given that it comes with a lens.
Canon 100D with 18-55 IS STM Lens $439.10 (after $100 Cashback) @ BIG W

Can't say about these two models but with Canon lower numbers are better. 1D > 5D > 7D > 70D > 700D > 1200D
But, 700D > 100D. So yeah…
I bought the 100D about 3 years ago, from what I remember it was roughly aligned to the 700D, maybe the 700D was slightly better (though pretty sure it was close). I think the main differences were the 700D has a flip screen, though the 100D is much smaller about 2/3 the size.
For me I got the 100D and an extra pancake lens for the size and I love it.
I gave my sister a 750D which is > 700D; great for starting out and carrying around. There was a kit version for $600 something here from TGG but can't seem to find the link anymore :(
The 100D is an entry level beginners SLR (reflected in the price).
For someone wanting to try an SLR with decent quality or for a budding young photographer it's probably a good bet, and with the money you save, invest in a good lens and perhaps do a photography course.
Good photos are not just about the camera, but the person behind the camera.

80D is a higher end and current model.
100D is a few years old now and it's basically a smaller version of the 650D.I'm looking at the 70D, any thoughts?
Excellent camera and still very capable. It will surpass most photog's needs unless you are a pro.
@gddg: What if I'm a food blogger? :P Hobby
@anastasiastarz: Then it will be an overkill
@gddg: Oh, any recommendations then?
@anastasiastarz: Lol. It'll be fine. Better to have something you can grow into rather than grow out of.
Love your username OP
sign says SLK. Does anyone know what does SLK means
Single Lens Kit.

Nice dash cam :)
While driving, fools that tail gate me, I take out my canon dlsr and aim it at them, most times they back off. Best thing I've found to get rid of them apart from the brake check.I'd be scared too if you whipped out a cannon.
Called a couple of stores and they're saying it's scanning up as $849. Is that an old ticket? the date on it says 27/10/16.
I checked two different stores in Vic and they both had the same price. One had 3 cameras behind then glass.
I am so confused with Canon's products.
How does this compare to the 80D?
