Wait for the 1080 Ti ;)

But seriously - Do wait for the 1080 Ti… Likely released early Feb next year. Will probably be at least 25% "faster" - A single 1080 Ti will bring you consistent 60FPS 4k ultra pretty much any current game. Or with SLI, 4k 120Hz (if you can find a 4k 120Hz monitor…).

If you are after 1440p 120Hz though, this 1080 will be definitely be enough - Ultra settings on (pretty much) anything.

    Just sayin'!

Great deal on a local card!

    • how much do you reckon 1080ti will be?

      • +3

        It will be $1500

        • How much do you think a 1080 will be by then?

        • @JohJoh:
          Usually its a drop around $100 - $150

      its a game of numbers…

im interested af about the new amd card.
but i bought the strix rog 1080 for 870 del, 2 weeks ago.

if i feel the need to do so, ill flog it for ~ 70-80% ??? of what i paid for it in feb 17 and get real 60@4k ( which im getting now in all games on high w/o AA .

its all about what your time is worth.

with #2 just confirmed, i have 6 months of valuable gaming time, ill wear the cost before the apocalypse… ;)

Let's be honest here, who the hell needs anti aliasing at 4K?! That's just crazy haha
Pixel density is already much higher than you could need AA on

I'm glad I got the 1070 at ~540$. Have had months of enjoyment, not waiting around for new cards (out of my price range) to drop other cards price.

  • pretty cool the Code also works with the GTX 1070 Founders (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/231820689317)

it comes to $552 might get it soon

    • The codes a Christmas special so it will work on everything at their store

  • Never been a fan of Gigabyte and Asus keep letting me down lately. EVGA have heating issues. Does anyone make good sh#t anymore?
