      It does 3D games…it just doesn't project a 3D image. The term 3D has been used for games for a very long time and doesn't just mean the image is popping out of the screen. (Ie Mario Galaxy is a 3D platformer, New Super Mario Bros is a 2D platformer)

        It should say 3D graphics engine then really shouldn't it? I just wondered if this was a new spiel from Sony in order to try and sell their console against the upcoming 3DS. I know games are rendered in 3D, it's been that way since the days of N64. :)

      it does do 3d games, just not games in 3d. like how wolfenstein is 3d, but not in 3d :P.

    Got one, always love Sony's stuff, last forever, still able to play the PS1 bought 16 years ago!
    Got a fat one already for the kid, just couldn't resist to buy one for myself, and I think psp3000 is hackable now!

    Older 3000 models are chickhen'able but new ones only run HBL at best(Half Byte loader) HBL allows unsigned code such as emulators and less complex homebrew, though there is an ISO loader in the works and 6.20 has been dumped and decrypted on 3000's & Go's now.

    Yeah, it's a 3.00x model
    Like someone pointed out earlier you could change the casing easy enough, I have done it a while back and the cases don't cost much from DX

    dodgy. they cancelled our psp. :(

    This neg is for bad customer service and not informing the buyer they have cancelled the order… All I got was an invoice email that looks like any other invoice email. there is nothing special in the title or the email. it is only when you view the attached pdf that it shows the item is cancelled. There is no note, no apology, not even a short comment of what has happened. nothing. If I hadnt checked the pdf and saw that it had cancelled next to the psp i would have been waiting and waiting and waiting for something that was never going to show up.

      Agreed. I also disagree with how they can say it's still in stock on the website, and only send a reply later saying that it's been cancelled. Very bad customer service.

      They cancelled mine as well! Only found out after YOU remind me to look up the "order update". Wasted so much time to work out how to hack at PSP 3000.

      Can anyone tell me which framware of this PSP is?!

    DSE is obviously having major problems right now, mass cancelling orders….with the fiasco with the Guitar Hero packs that's the end of me ever buying off them online.

    Awesome got one at Innaloo … DSE very crafty though … Sign still says special price of $269.94. If it wasn't for Ozbargain I would never have known about the special ( I also would have an extra $149 as I wasn't looking for a PSP :-)) lol

    Careful to those who ordered online but had them cancelled. They still charged me for it and had to call to get it reversed….well they've promised to reverse it. I got one at Innaloo, very impressed indeed.

    I see the price online has gone up to $250!
