well I wouldn't have bought it otherwise! ;)
..and remember that if you know a Woolworths staff member and you can give them the money to grab it for you, they can get another 10% off this online.
Nice!
10%? Woolworths staff discount is only 5% except for some very rare weekeneds or days when it is 10%. How would you apply the 5% discount online? Wouldn' the only way to get the 5% off is to go in store?
Thanks!
Any decent 13" Acer laptops out there with decent battery life, say about 3 hours.
My 14 month old Acer 5738G likes to reset itself at least once a day. This could be Vista (though that was recently clean reinstalled) or it could be the Nvidia graphics chip (G105M - some other Nvidia chips have recently been the subject of warranty replacement for overheating), or just the build quality (which otherwise seems pretty good).
Acer didn't go so well in a recent survey on warranty returns after three years. See http://www.squaretrade.com/htm/pdf/SquareTrade_laptop_reliab… or http://www.smh.com.au/digital-life/computers/apple-laptops-f…
Dude you're talking about returns after three years! Most notebook warranty only last for three year. Even that is an exaggeration, most end after one year.
How's about you get the problem diagnosed by a professional rather than blame everything but the kitchen sink! Jeez, talk about wild speculation!
Then again, it could be the CIA spy satellites interfering as they pass overhead! I'm told (by the voices in my head) that people still using Vista are more closely monitored than those buying copies of "Catcher in the Rye"! :o
I wonder if those results are affected by the fact that most laptops I see on the streets are Acer, Dell, and HP, hardly ever do I see a Toshiba or Sony, and occasionaly but not that offten I see an Asus (but I have to admit Asus's rep has to be pretty good when it comes to build quality, so that might reflect their sturdiness aswell)
anyone's opinion/experience on this laptop?
after some research., looks good and price looks good too.
