See I loved the original titanfall but the game died so quickly I don't really want to buy another one.
What do you mean? I play pretty much every day.
Titanfall 1 died very quickly, just because you can find a few lobbies made up of people from all over doesn't mean it's a thriving community dude. You'd find bigger numbers on 5 year old CoD games.
After about a month all my favourite game modes became difficult to find a game with. A few weeks after that I stopped being able to play with my friends as we would just sit in a lobby forever looking for a game.
After that I could only ever find attrition and vs the same people constantly. Good game but they did some really stupid things. A server browser would have fixed everything but they introduced way too many game modes and their solution to dying numbers was introducing more game modes. Then you had no way of knowing who was playing what and when they did introduce it so you could see how many people were playing the numbers were woeful and only in attrition. When the DLC came into the mix it fragmented the already dying userbase and it was all over. I am a parent to a young child, I work full time, when I want to play a game I want to play my time is limited, if I spend 30 min mucking around to find a game that could be all the time I can muster to play a game. Sure it's fine when you are young and have time but when your older and time poor these things are dealbreakers.
And just read up on it looks like tf2 has 2% of the players of BF1 so it's (profanity). Everyone I know didn't buy tf2 because of shitty player numbers in the first. If they just released a server browser like everyone has been asking it would fix all their problems straight away.
You make some good points but I found to the key to getting games is to play on the West US server. yes, the pings are usually around 200ms but despite that I've found that hits register fairly quickly. You can usually find a match in attrition, campaign or frontier defence with other game modes being populated if you are there at the right time. A pity about TF2, I didn't bother with it because as an old fart the money/reward ratio isn't there so I'll wait until it's on sale and might check it out then. :)
Yeah I don't bother playing games with 250 - 300 ping. It's too rubbish to play decently.
