    • Might be worth a try. Together with cash rewards, every cent counts i guess!

  • It's amazing Samsung is still peddling 1.5GB RAM devices in 2016.

    Shameful.

    • +6

It's $160, if you want more RAM buy a more expensive tablet.

      • It's $160

        $160 is still $160.

        tablet

        7" isn't a tablet. 1" larger than my phone.

      • for less money, you can get 2gb/32gb, windows+android, faster cpu, much higher res screen, etc etc. Unless you're desperate for a 7" tab

        • More money if your Banggood phone is doa or develops a problem.

    • Still a good deal given most big brand tablets with any decent quality is > $200.

  • It's alright for a basic tab.

    Pro
    + compact, lightweight design
    + decent build
    + non-slip back
    + micro-SD slot with App2SD
    + optional Kids Mode
+ decent camera quality for a tablet
    + viewing angle stable screen
    + accurate touchscreen
    + decent battery life
    Cons
    - tight internal storage
    - no MHL or Miracast
    - WiFi only in 2.4 GHz networks
    - long charging time
    - sluggish browser performance
    - no performance reserves
    - minor throttling during load
    - primary camera's moderate video quality
    - pressure on screen causes wave formation

there are barely any choices when it comes 7" tablets, for $159 I'd say this is acceptable, though barely.
It's definitely not for gaming though, Mali-400 GPU is woefully outdated.

    • is there a limit to what the memory can be expanded to? I wanted to buy this for my mum and put thousands of photos so she can browse through them in her spare time& so that we could skype every now and then. would you say that this device would fulfil that purpose?

      • Most likely 128GB SD card max

  • I had a go at it and it is very slow. Apparently some markets use the Snapdragon 410's which are reasonably good in performance on this level of device, but the one they used in Aus markets are the low end, slow A7 based CPU from 5 years ago. I was going to buy it for my 50 year old aunt, but save the money and see if you can still locate a MiPad 1 for about this price.

  • I have a unit. Good for the price. Does all the basics. Good for a kids tablet. If you want simething nice. . This isn't for you.
