I personally find it way easier to pricematch these Legos at another retailer and pay with discounted gift cards (obtained at 20% off or better)
Yeah not everyone can get 20% off gift cards, and/or other retailers won't price match the price after XMAS20 coupon code?
No, my point is, pricematch it at $99, then pay with gift cards obtained @ 20% (eg AMEX promo) , then that's same as ebay discount, and you don't have to worry about out of stock problem too. To give you a real example, I pricematched the amusement park @ DJ, and paid with DJ gift cards with a weighted average discount of 25%.
EDIT: Saw your comment about the gift card.. Just accumulate them when there are deals.
