$28 delivered here for a similar item with cheer20 code.

    • Brought 1 Thanks Ethanshdd - I think you should list it on main page

    • I’m always dubious about helmets that give varying tech specs details especially around respnse time and switching speed since one plus the other is how fast your eyes are protected. I had a friend who bought a different one and there was no indication that the clear front shield that provides a lot of the non visible spectrum shielding was missing so he was bombarding his eyes with UV.

      • Which one is "dubious" in your opinion?

        • I was referring to the bay one because I saw it made several different speed claims which makes me even more suspect. The Bosssafe of the original listing sounds pretty honest since it's claiming a pretty slow switching speed. But TBH, I only go name brand now or those from credulous sources like wedding specialist. I have no idea how credible Super Grip Tools is as a supplier. I have cheap (ozbargain) welders but I work to a different budget where my future vision is involved.

  • I have a standard helmet do I need one of these automatic ones? I do catch the flash sometimes, not the best welder…

I can't comment on this specific model, but I'd highly recommend an automatic helmet. The ability to be looking at the work with both hands in position and then to instantly be welding makes it so much easier than using a traditional flip down type.

  • bought one thanks

  • How does this compare to the Aldi one?

  • Well Supercheap have a fast one, Cigweld that's 1/30000s but it $100… its hard to know what's worth having for a once in a blue moon welder.
