  • want to buy a watch and a camera, hopefully a good deal this time round without any price jacking..

  • +2

hope there be some good iPhone 6s / plus deals

    • Those will likely be pulled unless they're grey imports which will simply be jacked up a bit.

  • +2

Only thing I wanted this Christmas was the Nintendo Switch… Damn release dates!

    • +4

Well I want something that isn't even announced yet, and I want it before Christmas.

    • -1

Still don't know about the Switch, If they don't end up getting games That ps4 & XB1 Get like COD, Need for speed, Resident evil I won't be buying because i'm no longer interested in Nintendo's kid games which is pretty much every game they bring out.

  • +1

Think we should just mark these % off coupon deals as long running since they're such a normal occurrence now.

    • % off coupons are weekly but ones with multiple stores are still about monthly. Hoping this one will be good.

You could say the same thing about Groupon or any store that has lots of sales.

    • +2

You wouldn't be able to tag them as such as each coupon is time limited, sellers have to opt-in, and different categories are covered with each promotion.

      • I was being sarcastic ;). Probably should've added a '/s' after it, it' can be hard to pick up it up online lol.

  • +4

Much as I like to take advantage of these deals, I can't help hating them for further turning eBay away from the great market place it used to be into just another chain store outlet - the ebaynisation of retail.

  • +2

Hopefully thegoodguys will join this time.

  • There is no flummery way to save money in this country xdddd

  • Looking forward to an S7 and a DJI Mavic if possible.

    • doesn't look like anybody will have Mavic out of the retailer list

  • +1

Just wait until XMAS price jacking by these sellers. Best present ever that everyone gets.

It doesn't feel right anymore to buy anything from eBay until 20%off because that's the norm

  • QUICK BUY BEFORE SALE STARTS AND PRICES ARE JACKED UP

    • +1

Might be worthwhile using C10AUZ to save 10% off if you're worried about price rises.

  • I doubt Masters will participate this time….

  • +7
    NO YOU CANNOT STACK COUPONS
    • +4

      Yeah but, are you sure?

      • -4

The click and collect voucher MIGHT work, but T&Cs say you can't use vouchers.

  • -1

I'm pretty annoyed, because this is likely to prompt them to raise their prices, just as the $100 C&C voucher becomes available.

    • -3

How is the $100 C&C voucher relevant?

Please read the eBay sale guide before commenting

      If that's still too complicated…

Can I stack the main coupon with another code?

      No
      • +1

pretty sure t3chshopper is saying that as the voucher becomes available the non discounted price will increase, as sellers increase their price to cover the hit they take on the sale. Not wanting to stack codes, but just use the voucher.

        Which would make it relevant.

      • +2

I think the point t3chshopper was making is that people who intended on using the $100 voucher regardless of the 20% off may be disadvantaged with this deal if prices are raised to compensate for the 20% off sale given they can't stack coupons. So an item selling for $100 might be $110 because of the sale but because coupons can't be stacked it means you must now pay the $110 with the voucher instead of the $100 prior to the sale.

        • Then just wait til after the bloody sale for the prices to come back down if you wanna the $100 voucher ffs

        • Which would make it relevant.

How exactly? Because some of the 20 odd sellers participating in this promo might increase their prices on some of their items? Sounds more like some entitled little whippersnapper moaning for the sake of moaning. Happens every time there's an Ebay deal posted.

Go whine to mumma and when you're done use the voucher on one of the many other sellers (not participating in this promo) who have the cheapest price.

…or use CVonC's suggestion above and just wait til after the bloody sale

  • Hmm. Still haven't decided if I want 1x 4k 27" or 2x 1080p 24" monitors…

    • +2

      2x 1440p 27"?

      • +2

        4x 8k 34"? How else will you watch Tokyo2020?

        • +1

          8x 16k 68"
          Basically NASA headquarters Thanks

    • -1

      4K 27" is too small.
      2x 1080p 24" is alright.

How big is your desk and what's your viewing distance?

    • Have you thought about a 34" 3440x1440 LG monitor?

    • I just went to a 43" 4k philips from 3x1080p Dell's

I'm worried about potential burn in on the 43, otherwise I'm very happy. $953 at msy if you go today.

  • +1

Are graysonline participating (as per last year)? If so, then http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ASUS-ROG-M32BF-AU003T-Mini-Tower-… on their eBay store vs http://www.graysonline.com/retail/m32bf-au003t-r/computers-a… on their regular site shows just how 20% off can be meaningless - 20% will save you $1.

    • it's not uncommon for retailers of low-margin products to do that - which is why there's no point shopping on ebay unless the discount is greater than the price difference.

  • +1

Not much in it for digital cameras.

  • +1

    Please stop this madness

  • This is why a whole bunch of things on my ebay watch list increased in price by 15% today!

  • The prices are very normal… full rrp

  • Only until 7 Nov? If it's called Christmas sale, does that mean there won't be anymore 20% off from Ebay for the rest of the year especially in Dec?

  • +1

hope they don't jack up the prices

    I needs a ssd

  • +2

Looks like the code will be CMAS20 (not live yet)

    • +1

Which probably means the terms and conditions will appear here soon: http://pages2.ebay.com.au/Buyer_coupons/mas20

      • +1

You mean the T&Cs will eventually appear here :)

        • Possibly. Often (but not always) the starting C is dropped from the T&Cs URL.

        • Your right, that is the T&C's URL. You can tell.

        • @marquisite: Only when the C is added. I think CMAS is supposed to be short for ChristMAS

        • @TheClipIt:

C is for coupon or code I think. All their codes seem to start with a C and end with the percentage

        • @TheClipIt: Yeah, that could be it :). Either way I can't see the actual URL being something other than /cmas20 or /mas20.

        • @justtoreply: One of these days ebay will run out of things to say starting with C. That could either be a great day for OzBargainers (save your money) …. or a sad day … it depends how you look at it. ;-)

        • @justtoreply: I know, but the page for MAS20 is different from the page from CMAS20. One says that page has been moved the other is blank.

    • Where did you see that? I see, it's the small aussie sellers button.

      • If you click the "20% Off Small Aussie Sellers" box on the landing page that's where the CMAS20 shows (in the destination URL)

  • Ebay must really be in the shits.

    • +1

      Why?

    • +1

They are worried because Amazon is coming to Aus so I have been told.

      • +11

Thank goodness! Somebody needs to destroy ebays ripoff price structure and general nastiness towards sellers (I long since closed up shop on ebay as a seller)

Amazon will have it's own dramas of course.

        • +2

I agree and I'm all for it. You get slugged with eBay final value fees and then again by PayPal, in the end you make jackall.

      • +4

        The dream.

      • Amazon is already in Aus, just not a very wide array of items

  • +1

How much are the eBay fees anyways?

    • +2

It varies depending on if you have a store plan and what kind of goods you are selling. Worst case is an individual without a plan where ebay and PayPal is just short of 13%. Stores selling goods in certain categories can be similar.

Then add 15% of the undiscounted price for a sale like this. Ebay usually only foots 5% of the 20%.

Oh, you get charged all those fees on total price (item + postage) too.

You can see why I closed up shop on ebay.

      Bring on Amazon.

      • -1

        13% is a bit steep.
Is there another platform you could use?
        How much does Amazon charge?

      • +2

Will Amazon ever come to Aus tho? I agree eBay need some more competition in the online marketplace segment here - their fees extortionate!

  • I want to upgrade my synology NAS even though I don't download 4K and I don't have a 4K TV. What is wrong with me?!!

  • Let's hope Target is in this deal.. $63.20 for FIFA 17. Unless anyone knows a cheaper deal going around?

    • +1

No one is looking because everyone has bought it already. :)

  • Hope there's another decent hero5 deal… but with stock this time

  • -1

do we have a list of participating stores?

  • Good time to buy a Weber 2k? Which store is best to buy from?

    • +3

just PM Tom and he'll hook you up

      • Who?

    • Did you find a good deal? I'm also looking for the same.
Please, let me also know if you get a good deal.

  • A discount is more useful compared to the previous voucher deal. Personally found it not worthwhile for the voucher deal as click and collect is a headache taking too much time and fuel (especially for multiple items), and having to mess around again returning to use the voucher up to its full value may not suit everyone and takes more time again. More convenient to have items delivered instead of to have to go and collect them.

  • +1

Seller backed sale - very highly unlikely that there will be any good iPhone 7 deals

  • how do you find this type of landing page before release?

    • +1

My guess is black magic, but I can't say with absolute certitude .

    • The four dark devas of destruction told me.

(Been playing danganronpa 2. Ps it's a crap game imho but I'll finish it anyway)

wow I've never heard of any of these stores…..

      What an anti climax….
