  • Anyone got any opinion of the quality on this hoop?

    • It's Spalding (they make the official NBA and NCAA backboards) so it is probably decent quality. Not made for dunking (not made to absorb the impact). The board is on the smaller side. Good for kids (adjustable from 7.5 to 10 feet).

    • You don't need a backboard if you hit daggers all the time ;)

Pretty good price, im after just a backboard/ring replacement and its only $30 less. Almost worth getting this to reuse the brackets or even just the whole system.

I bought this on the weekend, but haven't assembled it yet. In store it looks quite good quality though. Used this AMEX deal as well to reduce the cost by a further $40 (split payment over 2 cards)

The backboard barely lasts 2 years if left in the sun. I bought one about 4 years ago, first backboard was replaced under warranty after 2 years it just fell apart. replacement has now fallen apart also and ive given up.
    Get a wooden one.

  • Got this one from Target. 3 years now and it's still as good as new. Height adjusting handle is a godsend during storms. Lower it and you won't have to worry about it tipping over.

  • What am i missing here?

    Amart website says it's $299

Where's the $209 come into it?

    • Dude that was a few weeks ago. 209 deal has been and gone.
