High Preformance Turbo Timer $29.95

20

Auto Timer allows the vehicle to idle for a preset amount of time after the ignition key has been removed. In turbocharged vehicles this prevents hot oil in the engine from coking up in the lines. Hard driving can raise engine oil temperatures to dangerously high levels. Proper cool down is essential for a healthy turbo and engine.

The Auto Timer stands as a technological marvel. The pen shaped, compact size makes the Auto Timer one of the smallest turbo timers on the market. This allows a clean and stylish installation virtually anywhere inside the car. The unique multi angle joystick button allows easy navigation through the many feature menus.

Upgraded in every way from the previous model, the new Auto Timer can automatically determine the necessary amount of after idling time. A Manual Mode allows the user to preset desired idling times from 0 sec.~10 minutes in 16 increments. By inputting O2 sensor voltage, the Timer can also display theoretical air fuel ratio. Since the Auto Timer uses the factory O2 sensor which is primarily designed for emissions, the readings may not be as accurate as racing air/fuel ratio monitors. The Timer can also display critical data such as O2 sensor voltage and Battery Voltage. To prevent potential theft while running, the handbrake safety feature shuts off the vehicle when the handbrake is released without the ignition key.

First time to utilize O2 sensor voltage to calculate the necessary amount of after idling time automatically
144 different settings to ensure the most optimum countdown setting from the widest array of vehicle
16 way adjustment of countdown timing from 0-10 minutes
O2 sensor voltage - A/F value can be displayed
Displays A/F ration as RICH or LEAN
Displays battery voltage. Also warns of extremely LOW battery voltages

  • I'm not really sure what this is… But the cheapest price I could find for this same item is $59.95. So a positive vote and a thank you :)

    • Turbo powered cars get hot, they need extra cooling time after driving.

What this does it let the engine run when you turn off the keys, so the turbo can cool

i bought a standard one for 35 approx 10 years ago which had no features so this seems okay i guess, not being a mechanic i wouldnt know if this is a good deal

They need to coll but nothing more than the ambient air will do.

Timers are a waste of money and fuel.

If they were necessary they they would come factory fitted.

If you are worried just dont boost right before you part the car

  • looking at this it looks like a copy of the Apexi from Japan. I would reather spend more and get a good brand.

  • that's pretty cheap, my turbo timer couldn't do O2 and A/F

  • Be aware that a turbo timer may void your insurance: speak with your company before you fit one!

    • The there is the legality of leaving a running vehicle unattended.
Now it does say "road" so i dont know what applies in a private car park

      Making a motor vehicle secure
      (1) This rule applies to the driver of a motor vehicle who stops and leaves the vehicle on a road (except to pay a fee for parking the vehicle) so the driver is over 3 metres from the closest part of the vehicle if there is nobody 16 years old, or older, in the vehicle.

Note Motor vehicle is defined in the Road Safety Act 1986.
      (2) Before leaving the motor vehicle, the driver must comply with this rule. Penalty: 2 penalty units.
      (3) The driver must—
      (a) switch off the engine; and
      (b) apply the parking brake effectively or, if weather conditions (for example, snow) would prevent the effective operation of the parking brake, effectively restrain the motor vehicle’s movement in another way.
      (4) If there is nobody in the motor vehicle, the driver must—
      (a) remove the ignition key; and
      (b) if the doors of the vehicle can be locked—lock the doors.
