  • yes and the seller only has 79 feedback.

    • Is that an issue? They claim to be an authorised dealer

      • for me, I wouldnt spend 200+ on a seller who only has 79 feedback.

        • Plenty of people on WUS have bought this seller and confirmed they are an AD with warranty.

  • +1

oh and its an authorised reseller of refurbished watches.

    • They have both refurbs and new stock

      • +1

Not sure if that is correct, if you click in their refurbished watches and select one of the refurbished. and check the condition it says "NEW".
No where does it mention that it was a refurbished.

        • Ok that is a bit concerning

However in the item description for the refurbished listings they add

Our items listed as "manufacturer refurbished" are retail customer returns. For example, Macy's or Dillard's might have too much inventory of a particular watch so they would send some models to the manufacturer. Bulova puts a lot of care and effort into re-manufacturing these watches before putting them back up for sale. Each watch is completely inspected, cleaned, repaired and its battery changed prior to being resold under the "manufacturer refurbished" condition. Our watches come with the original box, tags, manual and a 3-year warranty from Bulova. However, these watches might have some very minor cosmetic wear, light nicks and scratches, on them picked up throughout the process. If you are dissatisfied with your "manufacturer refurbished" item please contact us prior to leaving feedback and we'll make things right. We are always willing to help our customers and want them to be happy.

Which is not present on the "new" ones

  • A Citizen Watch company

    • True, as are Frederique Constant, Arnold & Son, Alpina, DeMonaco and La Joux-Perret

Anything discounted by that much is super overpriced or a poor seller.

  • +3

Hmm, Tony Abbott trying to sell second-hand watches… Not sure what to make of this…

  • Non-reps / regular users are able to post non-group buy deals only if the seller is a Top Rated Seller.

    • Unless an alternate domain is given

  • No need for battery change

For anyone thinking automatics are maintenance free, they need servicing every few years. No idea how much these cost to service but may be a few hundred

    • Then again, watches don't have 'idiot traps' in them like electronic/electrical goods or software traps like Samsung's E-Fuse. A cowboy would leave scratches, but for adjustment and cleaning most jewellers would have standard rates. Not trying to cast nastursiums, but while I wouldn't be dropping it into "Mr Minute", but probably wouldn't go wrong with the likes of ,say, J Farren Price in Adelaide, or even allowing one of the major chain jewellers to have their watchmakers adjust it.

    • around $120ish.. or so depending. Some can go longer without servicing, but they should be serviced in good intervals.

  • The Bulova Accutron 65A106 Accu Swiss, not listed, is another well-specced watch which has an attractive design and features. The link below is from an Authorised Dealer with 3 years warranty and is genuinely highly discounted.

    • The ebay listing is rather confusing. The title says "automatic watch", but twice in the description it says "Movement: Mechanical (Hand-winding)".

      "Automatic" means self-winding: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automatic_watch

Also, view the enlarged view of the face of the watch. Somehow the "2" digit is both above and below the minute hand! Photoshop?

      • Movement is Sellita SW200. Equivalent to ETA 2824-2. The sold out and collectable limited edition was ETA.

Check the dial again. There is two of everything, except 12 (and of course the minutes and 24 hrs. The rings are adjustable, hence the three crowns.
