More details:

Our most popular fare, the SWISS multi-continent global fare will take you to North America, Europe, Asia or Africa on a 3 continent trip with Europe as the second continent. This lends itself to many combinations and possible route options, packaged with a variety of quality airlines to/from Australia. By utilising this fare as a base for your main intercontinental travel, you can cover a lot of ground at a very low price and fill in with additional internal travel to see more destinations on your trip.

Piece Together Your Preferred Route:

Choose a continent order then add destinations/stopovers in each continent. Asia/UAE can just be a transit if no stop is preferred. Basic round the world fares will include one stopover in each continent, which you can use to fly in to one place and out of another for a more flexible routing. You can also add stopovers in Zurich and/or Auckland to have 2-5 stopovers.

Wish I had the time and money to make the most of this :<

I got a ticket to take as many flights as I wanted up to 29,000 miles with the Star Alliance airlines (eg Singapore, Air NZ, Virgin) for $900 in 2002. It included international and domestic flights so I took 15 flights over 13 months all up. That was a deal.

This one is pretty awesome by today's standards though.

Great gift for those who've finished uni/Y12 IMO, especially if you've got family in one or more of the destinations! +1 OP!

    • +1

Also check out the Etihad 'Mini' Round the World promotion from $1489 including taxes. Not all continents available, but still Middle East, Europe, USA and Australia. Ends tomorrow (9 October) though!

You could also take advantage of the Air Berlin status-match offer to be recognised with elite status on Etihad if considering this promotion.

Just a note, these round the world fares are a bit different than your usual around the world fares for like 3-4k. What this essentially is is a return ticket to LA but with multiple stops due to how many routes are available for the OP mentioned airlines. Those expecting full flexibility (ie freedom to change flights anytime at no cost, adjust destinations etc) will be disappointed. Standard return airfare will be subject to their change and rerouting fees.

Another one, which would be my ideal trip is: Perth - Singapore - Tokyo - LA - overland to NYC - London - Singapore - Perth with Singapore airlines. Possible and can be had for under 2k.

  • Sydney - Tokyo - Warsaw - Toronto - Johannesburg - Rio - Sydney

All this for $1818? Want to book for March. Can someone confirm how this works.

Australia – Africa – Europe – North America – Australia
Australia – North America – Europe – Africa – Australia
      Australia – Africa – Europe – Asia/UAE – Australia
      Australia – Asia/UAE – Europe – Africa – Australia
      Australia – Asia/UAE – Europe – South America – Australia
      Australia – South America – Europe – Asia/UAE – Australia
Australia – Africa – Europe – South America – Australia
Australia – South America – Europe – Africa – Australia

  • I think I'd prefer to rim the Pacific Ocean….

    Something like… Sydney-Auckland-Papeete-Easter Island-Santiago - Lima- New York - Hawaii -Sydney

    Or backwards.

  • +2

Seems like a good deal, but you can't browse prices by yourself and have to wait to discuss this with them. Which is annoying if your plan is not very "standard".

Is there any way to do this deal that updates estimated final price as you add/remove stopovers?

    • +1

Can't agree more with this. "Standard price" will obviously only be 3 continents, but it could also be what continents you go to and what time of year.

I bought pretty much this ticket about six years ago and it was an absolute bargain. Had a fantastic time. Swiss airline staff were the nicest I have ever had behind Singapore.

  • weird question; can I buy this and not make it all the way home? As in, fly to North America via India and just not catch the return flight to Oz.

    • You think they will send the police after you for not catching a flight?

  • Finishing Uni this year and this looks like a pretty good opportunity for me. Wanted to do the [South Korea - Europe - NA] trip, only really decided on South Korea to see a friend, any suggestions for the other continent cities/countries? And does this ticket start from next year/ or can i squeeze in late december?

    • Visit NK as well while you are there (and they still are).

  • Has anyone used this travel agency before? Reviews are far in between…

    • +1

Yes, I have. They are based in Adelaide, and I used them to buy tickets for my parents on their (currently in progress) round the world trip.

Let me preface this by saying that I went to many physical stories - STA Travel, Flight Centre, Harvey World Travel etc. etc. with my dad to find round the world trip tickets for them. We had limited success, with poor value options being presented and a lack of quality customer service & attention to detail by the staff - as well as often a lack of experience with RTW tickets.

On the other hand, Susan - the person who dealt with us over email and over the phone - was very professional and very quick to respond to our queries.

From our experience with round about travel I couldn't speak higher of their customer service. I was slightly annoyed at first by the fact that I couldn't see specific pricing on their website for our particular preferences but their quick communication more than made up for that.

      • +1

Update: Yesterday my dad emailed Susan to add his MileagePlus frequent flyer number to his booking to receive his benefits on the *A flights.

She replied the very next day, the email was very cordial and friendly and she even pointed out how to verify that it had gone through.

This was very helpful as the SWISS website doesn't seem to have any fields for entering frequent flyer numbers.

  • I just booked this today through Flight Center. Flying March/April 2017. Australia – North America – Europe – Asia – Australia. Qantas, Swiss Air & Cathay Pacific. Paid $2047 per adult as wanted specific itinerary ( flying with kids so happy to pay little more for ease of journey ). Got 6 flights in total. Believe this offers good value with alot of flight paths avail. Thanks for posting.
