Average medium sized male. Was thinking more if I should be concerned about the sweat these might get on them with exercise, if that's a concern.

Decent for sports use. They have a comfortable wireless design and a good control scheme. They're not too bulky but a little unstable.
The QC35 like the QC25, are stable during a casual listening session. However, they're not too tight, which makes them more comfortable but also a little less stable if used during sports. The ear cups of the QC 35, in particular, are slightly heavier and will sway a bit more than the QC 25.

It's light and sturdy enough. It won't fall off when I was doing drills and shoots in basketball. However, if you have a lot of sweats, you need to consider because it is not water or sweat proof.

I got noise cancelling headphones with the Audio Technica ATH-ANC9 for $135 (previous OzB deal) and I am assuming these will be much the same?
@Ozjoey: Nothing wrong with silver, I just prefer how the black looks and I'm assuming it'll show less marks. Not really an issue whether you can Bose on it or not.
These are more expensive than some headphones and less than others. They have unrivalled noise-cancellation, pretty good sound and are supposedly very comfortable. Worth it at this price for me, maybe not for you.
@Ozjoey: I've done a bit. Best noise-cancellation out there, very comfortable, good build quality, quite light, decent sound, great battery-life compared to competitors. I saw some guy bend them to angles that made me cringe and it didn't affect how they worked/looked at all.
I used Logitech UE9000, Beats Studio 2 Wireless, Bose QC25 before. Bose's NC is the best among them and better than Sony ones when I compared that in retailer. And QC25 has same quality as QC35.
I have black hair so I want something contrast colour, but just saw black one when I order yesterday. The silver model was sprayed I guess, which there will be a risk to have paint rubbed out along time.
I have the audio techna ANC9.. they have three setting for noise cancellation. I think they would be better than Bose?

Low latency AptX is a codec used by A2DP profile and not a Bluetooth (standards) feature. Both, transmitter and receiver must support this codec. QC35 doesn't support regular nor low latency AptX codec, so, no point in buying receiver.

Is it worth buying just for flights? Never owned noise canceling headphones so not sure.. I've nice B&O H7 already (wireless), but those are not noise cancelling.
They are the best for flights, even comes with its own adapter with its own compartment for flights :).

Just came back from France (2 * 10 hours flight) and was wearing it for the entire flight, even without music, just to have the NC. And no pain at all at the end.
It's also good for public transport. For flight, it blocks out almost 95% of baby's crying and this makes that worth definitely.

Have you ever tried that on? That's the best pair of noise-cancelling headphones I have used. The Sony ones are beaten instantly. Go JB Hifi and experience.
