ASUS USB-AC68 AC1900 Wireless Dual Band USB3.0 Adapter $108 w/ Shipping @ Futu eBay

Original 20% off Selected Stores on eBay deal

Cheapest price for the 'fastest' and 'newest' ASUS usb wifi adapter/receiver out there, closest in price comparison is MSY at $119. If Futu run out of stock, pc.byte has it at the same price at $135 before applying code.

Not sure if it is faster than the ASUS PCE-AC68 (i doubt so) and some may say this is overkill but it should compliment any ASUS or other AC routers well if wireless speed is your top priority.

Looks like a mini satellite that can fly up ?

    • Haha so the other ac1900 dongle I know of is the D-Link DWA 192, again it comes in a pretty odd shape:

and I also found the following quote:

      http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/internet-bandwidth-network…

Powered by Realtek 8814AU 802.11AC 4x4:3 MIMO, the same WiFi chipset which D-Link DWA-192 uses.

ASUS goes further in coming out an ultra-compact, unobtrusive and minimalist design and more compact form factor and better performing by moving 2x internal antenna to external (detachable USB 3.0 cradle and 2x external/2x internal antenna)

At least with this one you can choose to stick it straight into the usb port if not use the cradle.

      • Yes, as per https://wikidevi.com/wiki/Realtek . BTW, looks like Edimax is the OEM.

The question is - will it support MU-MIMO client mode?

Sigh, as per Globeron's report (provider of WiFi training) - "There are IEEE 802.11ac 4x4:3 USB-adapters in market (like 4x4:3 MIMO RTL8814AU), but not utilized by vendors so far. Also currently there are no .11ac MU-MIMO (Multi User-Multiple Input Multiple Output) adapters/dongles on the market"

For those who have registered their Amex with Mwave, you can get it for $101.73 delivered to SA that is, should be the same with the rest of the state. (after $40 rebate).

This is a seriously great price for a flux capacitor. Now for a new set of wheels for my Delorian.

    • And then all you'll need is 1.21 gigawatts

      • Good god Marty! Didn't I tell you not to follow me.
