    Oh boy, here we go.

    • +12

Bigger list, this time. They are virtually running one after the other now.

      • +11

No, probably a week or two before this one starts. We're finding them one after another.

        • A week or two? only a day or two ;)

      • +4

But I see there's no Bugatti eBay Store AGAIN. Pffft!!

    • +8

There probably will be a code, just I don't know it yet.

    • +1

      20OFF85 is my guess ;)

      • +1

        I'm expecting something like SPRING20

    • +83

I am guessing code will be 20ON20OFF, meaning 20% price increase before sale followed by 20% price decrease when sale is on :)

      • +25

I suppose the resulting 4% decrease is better than nothing.

      • +15

"RIPOFF" if they decide to shorten the code.

      • +1

who is it who subsidises the 20% discount — the individual vendors, or eBay themselves? my impression is that the sellers are operating on horrendously slim margins to begin with, and so i simply assumed that it was eBay/PayPal who are the one's who take the 20% hit.

        • +2

The invoices sent out are full price. So it's eBay / PayPal who pays the discount amount to the seller. Paid for of course with all the fees they charge all year round.

      • +2

        20UP20OFF then.

      • +2

        C20UP20OFF

      • +1

        Come on..that s not true..an example
        PC BYTE Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 G1 Gaming 6GB $599 before the hypothetical 20% off= $479 final
        MSY Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 G1 Gaming 6GB $469

        Oops….bad example :)

  • +1

    yay!

  • +35

Good chance to catch dodgy retailers out increasing prices…

    • Let the price rises begin!

    • +13

They literally remove a listing and create a new one to get around it
      It's ridiculous!!

    • +3

We should start naming and shaming them.

      • +21

        OK, I'll start.

        Kogan.

        • +2

          Dick Smith

      • +5

Just caught shopping square - G5 went from $555 to $618 as I was adding to cart.

        • +2

Mate they had HTC 10 at $777 yesterday then I refreshed the page today and it was "sold out" at $866.

At this rate we should be reporting ebay for false advertising since they should be the ones keeping the sellers honest.

Edit: Forgot to mention, I can't even see a single HTC or Samsung S7 phone on their listings. Looks like the whole lot of phones will be getting a price overhaul!

      • +1

        PC BYTE and FUTU online

  • +51

Gentlemen, start your engines. Search engines that is.

      • +19

        Daytonaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

      • -5

        No one cares mind you.

      • +2

        Clementine, is that you?

      • +4

        goodguy

How dare you have a sexist user name, goodguy/girl would be much more appropriate ;)

    • -4

Ladies and Gentlemen, start your engines. Search engines that is.

We have women on here as well..

      • +48

Women on the internet? Are you mad?

      • +7

There are no women on the internet, mate.

        • +2

They're too busy in the kitchen

        • +15

          @montorola:

Heaps of women these days are pretty bad in the kitchen. Cooking wise.

        • What, those are all men!?

        • @ankor:

          Every. Single. One.

      • +3

We're fine, we don't need to be told what to do ;)

    • +1

      Some body might triggered

      • +16

        My name is Hugh Mungus

        • Ikr Hugh Mungus … nuclear meltdown

      • +11

The reason I made the comment was because I've seen it a lot on here, we assume the standard ozbargainer to be male when there are plenty of ladies on here, just encouraging some inclusivity no harm intended

        • +7

Thank you. :) It gets tiresome sometimes.

        • I usually assume I'm the sexiest, smartest and best fighter that frequents this site.

        • we assume the standard ozbargainer to be male

          The standard OzBaraginer is male.

  • +3

So a price hike by some retailers and then 20% off again?

    • +19

It's becoming a very normal trend these days. Just like how the FHOG never really went to the first home owner but rather into the developer/builder/vendor's pockets.

  • +1

    Nice find

  • +3

    Quick call the ACCC!!!

    • +7

      Ah…the toothless Tiger (ACCC)…Good luck..

      • -4

no, ASIC is the toothless tiger, actually when they go to court they lose and they have to pay court costs and penalties using our taxes. :-(

        • ASIC actually brings in significantly more money than it spends, and penalties and fines are a substantial part of its income.

        • +10

@magicmoose: which is surprising as they make greats sports shoes.

        • +1

ACCC spent less than $32400 to put Kogan to trial?

        • +2

          @uniwon:
I doubt it, they're quite obviously misleading consumers. Even if so, still serves as a landmark case if you will. ACCC would just rock up in court, reference that case and be done before lunch time. Nothing changes beyond variables such as items and retailer.

        • @uniwon: ACCC doesn't need to go to trial to merely issue infringement notices (which is what occurred here).

  • +4

    I want good guys please

    • Doesn't appear to be on the list

    • +4

Not much we can do about that

    • +27

Only cheap guys on ozbargain I'm afraid

      • +12

not just blokes on here mind you….

    • +3

I think you may be confused with another site.

    • +6

They are all bad buys selling on eBay sadly.

    • +1

I think the takeover by JB-Hifi has been cleared now, so expect all pricing to increase to RRP minus $1.

  • +17

We need a 20% off site wide.

    • +1

like the old days huh. I miss those days, made me broke hard. Now I have enough money to be broke again haha.

      • Are you not remembering $50 voucher on $100 spend, $100 voucher on $200 spend. Effectively up to* 33% off.

  • +7

    Doesn't this belong in forums.
So many upvotes for unconfirmed deal.
It's time for retailers to Jack up the prices.
    Any bargains though ?

    • +2

It'll be moved to the forum if it's not confirmed. Just a warning if someones planning on buying from one of these retailers soon.

Retailers normally jack up prices 10% so still a 10% saving.

  • +1

    no kogan?

    • +3

      Only Dick Kogan

      • +1

        More like Kogan's dick 😂

        • Yeah, Kogan just bought a Dick 'cuz he didn't have any prior to this.

        • +12

          So many lame jokes..

    • They'd just put up their prices by 25% the day before the sale anyway.

  • -1

Can I find any good deals on canon lens??

    • +3

Use the link to search all stores

    • +2

I got 2 canon lenses from Shopping Square in the last 20% off the 10-18mm stm for $295 ($448 at teds) and 55-250 stm for $166 ($349.95 at Teds)
Took 10 days to arrive from overseas HK)

      • +1

Rather I would prefer aussie stock :D

  • +12

    what, is this ozrumour????

    • +6

      No, OzUnconfirmedEbayDeals.com.au

    • OzJackUpPricesThen20%DiscountWhinge.com.au

  • +3

    here we go again wooooohoooooo……………

  • +1

I just lodged a complaint to ACCC

    • +4

      About…??

Please post the results too :) Im sure the majority of us would love to see it.

      • +3

Don't hold your breath. The ACCC is just doing its eleventy millionth inquiry into fuel pricing, which will produce be same result of the previous eleventy million -1 inquiries.

But it's all good. Rod Sims gets to eat out well with the political class on our taxes.

  • +2

    Oh man oh man…not again

  • +1

    No Peters of Kensington AGAIN

  • +6

    This is getting boring.

  • +1

Is there some way to hide posts like this in our own ozbargain feed? Getting frustrated in seeing these so called "deals".

    • +7

      block eBay

  • +7

Need a good s7 edge deal

    • Buy a note 7, and you $100 off
