    might not be considered as deal breaker to some people but for a decent laptop with Windows 10 and DVD drive and SSD drive for under $600, not too bad for an office/student computer

    Not even FHD.

          Amazon Germany FFS - this is Aus Store walk in and get it now, and also consider warranty

          @Jettblack: Warranty vs FHD.

          I choose FHD.

        • -2

          This one has FHD, i7, local warranty and was $13 cheaper.

          @CVonC: no SSD

        • @yoyomablue:

          128GB ssd is like $60. better value to get a higher capacity ssd anyway, which you can upgrade to with the other laptop. you can't upgrade from HD to FHD resolution though. nor the i7 cpu. it was still a better value deal than this one or the amazon one imo.

  • Looking for an 11-14" laptop for uni work / browsing / youtube / social media, preferably i3 & SSD (128GB is fine), is that doable for $500? Refurb is OK too. Point me in the right direction?

    • +2

      for uni work and all that you listed above, this unit is more then sufficient for your needs, you still can get cheap core i3 (used) laptop for around $200-300 then purchase an SSD to replace HDD, but then the cost is not worthy after all as you will end up at least 2/3 of this $599 unit and still using a second hand + no warranty computer

      I heartily recommend www.reboot-it.com.au
      Heaps and heaps of refurbished items. Generally keen prices too

      • Thanks for the pointers.

    Sweet thanks, perfect for Uni stuff. Bit large though, wish it where 14.

  • @webtherapist

    Are you in Singapore for the Grand Prix?

    • +1

      not quite, just a short staying for business contracts for friends, why?

    • how did u know i was in Singapore anyway???

      • LOLOLOL it shows up next to your name, have a look at who up voted my first comment, you'll see a Singapore flag next to your name.

        I watch every F1 race and quite a few Aussie's go to the Singapore one, since it's near by! Figured you might be there for that!
