I received a RetailMeNot alert about this new coupon, which applies to all Expedia Special Rate hotels.
I've confirmed it on a couple of US hotels and an Aussie hotel.
Might compensate for the recent unexpected expiry of the Hotels.com 15% off voucher…

anyone know the date restrictions on this coupon? I tried it for a range of dates in nov to dec and it says the coupon is invalid.
edit: a bit of testing shows that it doesnt work after 10th sep or so.
I think most hotel and third party websites are putting up promotions for stays up until approximately September, cant expect it any further down the track like December. Give it a couple more months and they'll start to show as well if occupancy is not looking well for certain hotels.
Odd and unfortunate - and I couldn't see it in the T&Cs either. However, if you book more than one room, it only takes the discount off the first room (the terms say it's only valid for one reservation, not one room) :-(
