    More like a Core i3 390M.

    It's a mobile CPU. Weak as hell. A Core i3 4xxx would absolutely smoke it.

  Good enough for HTPC I guess (though not very quiet), just bear in mind this is basically the processor of a laptop embedded into a desktop size form factor, so processor upgrades are not possible. Socket is FT3 which is a ball grid array (soldered)

  Think of it like an oversized Intel NUC with quad core Celeron and you might have the same sort of performance target.

  Depends on what you want to use the desktop for. This will suffice for a basic computer (email, Web browsing, word, Excel). Definitely not a gaming or photoshop desktop.

  I've got a desktop with j2900 and it's pretty good for the above. This is better than what I have.
