    How good is this camera?

    Would the picture quality be a lot better then those $100 12MP cameras?

      cheapest on shopbot is AU $234 (with $32 shipping to Adelaide)
      Not available at citiwide….

      so seems to be a bargain…..
      (That's assuming it's grey market stock….if it's Australian, then far and away a bargain)

      The camera allows much more flexibility in shooting then the $100 cameras (and bigger zoom)….these are called 'bridge' cameras, as they bridge the gap between 'point and shoots', and DSLRs.

    looks nice, since i'm not too much of a photographer myself but am trying to get better i might get this now or maybe the HS10/11 later this year

    I stay away from Fujifilm camera as their inhouse sensor produced rather pixelated detail. You can see this when you zoom into fine hair detail. I recommend you guy stay with Nikon, Canon, Panasonic and Sony.
