No it's a generic non branded tv
How is JVC not a branded TV? I thought they are quite a well known brand with a good reputation.
Were, not any more. Made in China.
The only thing JVC about these televisions is the brand name placed on it under license from JVC. The televisions are not made by JVC at all just a third party Chinese manufacturer. Otherwise they are same as any generic television made in China. JVC itself topped manufacturing televisions for the Australian market years ago. Some other company for the Australian market has a license to place the JVC brand name on generic manufactured televisions. Just like how Dick Smith had generic televisions made in China with their brand name placed on it. They would be no where near the quality of the likes of Sony, LG, Samsung, Panasonic televisions.
the DSE/JVC/TGG relationship is actually closer than that

same crap, different badge
I see. Dick Smith and these JVC (JVC brand name under license, not actually made by JVC itself) televisions were basically the same other then the brand name placed on it. Same old crap.
Generally poorer rebadged products too.
$200 is more a deal for a 32" TV
Oh yes these are generic rebadged Chinese manufactured televisions with the JVC brand name for the Australian market placed on it under license from JVC. Not made by JVC itself at all. Not the best quality. If you want better quality then perhaps stick with Sony, Samsung, Panasonic etc. The saying goes you get what you pay for.
My deal just got roasted… Thanks for the info. I had no idea.
Most of us have posted a dud deal before. I know it's hard, but don't take it personally, we're still glad you posted the deal. The comments here probably helped educate another 20 people too :)
HD = low definition.
Kogan 32" low definition TVs often go for less - and they'd both be made in the same factory along with all the other cheap'n'nasty TVs.
I was hanging out for a cheap FHD 32" TV. But then FHD 40" came out to be the same price so why bother.
space constraints.
pathetic : 1,366 x 768 High Definition
who'd bother
Lots of people as that seems to be all they make at this size, so someone's buying them.
HD, not FHD. not really a deal breaker for everyone. Just a note.
