Milk, bread, fruit, vegetables, deli lines, meat, baby products etc are all the same online as they are in store, as are catalogue price specials.
There are some minor price differences on some other lines to cover the cost of having a personal shopper pick and pack your order.
Online exclusives are either not available in store, or are cheaper online than they are in store.
EDIT: Oh, and minimum order value is $50 online.
Free delivery in ACT would be good :D
The minor price differences can add up to a lot.
However its not a huge issue as long as everyone understands. That way it allows customers to only buy meat fruit etc and not pay extra.
I wish you would make this information more available to customers, I know many online shoppers that don't realise they are paying more for paying online, they think they are just paying delivery.
Exactly right.
I was just doing this as a caveat emptor - don't assume the prices are the same.
I find the quality of fruit & veg at both Coles and Woolies really really poor…
I've lost count of the number of times I'd found mould on items and reported it to the staff who just seem indifferent to it…
I pretty much buy all my fruit and veg at my local fruit shop now… The difference in quality is like chalk and cheese, and even though they can't match the "Coles specials" when Coles are trying to dump items or bring in customers to cross-sell, i'm pretty sure my total bill is cheaper at the fruit shop too…
despite being 15 mins from the centre of the CBD, they don't deliver to my suburb
from Gawler to Noarlunga
don't think so……
Which suburb Andy?
** done via pm
Just outside the delivery zone I'm afraid Andy. If your suburb opens up in the future, I will let you know.
@Coles com au: That's good….at just 13.83k, (as the crow flies), from the centre of the city, it's not exactly outback….
@andy19363: ahh, tis ok….Woolworths have started delivering in Adelaide and my suburb is inside their delivery zone…..
It should be noted that online item prices are not necessarily the same as in store item prices.
It's not uncommon for the online prices to be 5-25% more.
EDIT Random example from a price I remember from my local coles:
Monster 500mL cans - In store: $2.99 - Online: $3.20 - Difference ~7%
