  • Do you have any that don’t have berry flavour in it? What’s the most popular one that most people enjoy?

    • Hey there kaiden - the most popular blends are Sumatra and Enterprise - the berry notes can be pretty subtle depending on your brewing method and your own pallet. Certainly not an overwhelming flavour note in either of these if you are brewing espresso.

      I hope that helps.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Happy New Year Dan. Perfect timing again. Ordered. Thanks, Rod

    • Happy New Year to you Rod and thanks so much!

Email says: “ Roasting and shipping for this deal starts Tuesday 1st October.
Deal ends Midnight AEST Friday 10th or when stocks run out - be quick!”

    What’s the correct dates?

    • +1

Hey Justplanemad - apologies for the sloppy editing :) - ends Friday 10th Jan 2025

      Cheers
      Dan

      • Thanks. Thought so. Just wanted to double check

  • Put in cart but can't see an option to defer roasting and dispatch date. Is it possible?

    • Hey there 16k-zx81 - we are all set up to roast and post asap. No delayed shipping options. Thanks for asking.

      Cheers
      Dan

      • +1

Ok. No worries. Won't be buying on this occasion as I have a supply of beans, otherwise would have purchased.

        • Same issue. I love the beans, but no delayed shipping meant I switched recently to another ozbargain favourite. I’ll be back if there’s a promo at same time I’m due to more beans (or delayed shipping option)

          • -2

@Justplanemad: Yep. In this instance would have been interested in 2kg to snag the additional 10 percent off, and just stagger the delivery. But by the time I got to even the first bag they would have been stale because of the fixed date so the all at once thing does not work for me.

            • +6

@16k-zx81: It costs less to send per kg for 2kg, thus the 10% discount, plus the addition of less admin costs, and extra volume. That's my guess.

It's like asking Coles, can I get a 10% discount because I will come back in the future and shop again, and can you give me a 10% discount on that order too?

              • @Daabido: Ahh. That makes sense. Thanks for explaining.

  • Just in time, thanks!

    • Great to hear zoner - thanks so much!

  • Thank you! Just grabbed two bags :-).

    • Thanks so much givemesicountspls!!

  • Dang just bought 2 bags yesterday using the bag code!

    • +5

Hey marmaduke - shoot me an email to [email protected] and I can sort a refund for you since it was yesterday no problem.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Nice timing - 2kg ordered.

  • Awesome Crackers - thanks so much!!

  • Was waiting for this! I’ve just bought a Hario V60 and manual grinder. What beans would you recommend for this? I’ve been reading that a light/medium roast is more suited for this application.

    • Hey there tsugnev - I would recommend the Sumatra Blend for you.

      I hoop that helps

      Cheers Dan

    • The chase for the God shot is elusive. It's like the monk searching for enlightenment.

Before enlightenment, sweep the leaves. After enlightenment, sweep the leaves.

  • Normally go the Sumatra Blend but thinking of going the new Centaur Blend. Anyone know what its like? sounds strong.

    • Hey stuarty9 - the Centaur is super strong compared to the Sumatra so be prepared for a big difference.

      I hope that helps.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Glad to see you back!

    • Thanks so much ohyesss :)

They left? Airjo is worse than Big Man Tyrone when it comes to spamming fake "deals" multiple times a month.

      • -1

Sure, neg me, but you know I'm right. I can only assume @SickDmith stopping doing this because it's exhausting watching Airjo continue getting free passes after presenting the obvious bullshit on a silver platter every time. If the mods won't actually do anything about it, what's the point?

  • Have been using Enterprise so far - it's great!
    Thinking about trying the Sumatra.
What's the most noticeable difference? (Am I better off sticking with Enterprise?)
Using a Breville Barista Express, and make mostly cappuccinos, with the occasional espresso.

    • Hey Bugs. Great question and thanks for asking. It never hurts trying something new but you have got a great combo there with Enterprise and the BBE. I run the same combo daily at home and work and don’t change often.

Maybe some fellow OzB crew can also share their thoughts.

      I hope that helps

      Cheers
      Dan

    • Hey Bugs. I have been using both Sumatra, Saratoga, and Enterprise for around 3-4 years now, and I personally like Enterprise compared to Sumatra. I am no coffee expert but the main difference is that Enterprise has more chocolate-y/cocoa blend than Sumatra. I love my espresso with occasional lattes here and there. I also use a Breville Barista Express. Care to share your grind settings for Enterprise? If you are interested in Sumatra, I use no. 3 with internal bur set to no. 4.

  • Nice! Giving the decaf a go. Cheers.

    • Great stuff HDC. Super keen to hear how it goes for you!

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Hey OP, can I buy green beans off you guys?

    • +1

Hey there wallet72. Only fresh roasted beans from us but thanks for asking.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • OP is active with the replies. Good to see.

Quick question. If I wasn’t concerned with the flavour and just wanted the biggest caffeine hit what would you suggest? Have you measured or would it be anecdotal? Thanks again.

    • +1

Hey TextGoesHere. Centaur Blend contains Robusta beans, generally double caffeine content of Arabica so that’s the one you are after.

      I hope that helps.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Awesome thanks.

This has probably been asked a million times. But how long are these good to keep in the freezer?
1kg doesn’t seem to last me between your deals haha.

    • Hey there digitalbath. We haven’t done any tests as such re freshness and freezing. We would normally recommend keeping them in a cool, dry and dark space either in the bag they came in or a specialised coffee storage container.

I’m sure there are a number of OzB crew here that could share their own experiences with freezing.

      I hope that helps.
      Cheers
      Dan

      • I worries. Thanks. Ordered 2kg, will see how well it lasts.

    • +1

Hi this is what I do with these beans all the time usually buy 2kg seperate them off in 200g batches vacuum seal them and pop them in the freezer I find 200g is plenty for me to be bringing out to use when I need them. Been doing this for a few years now with Airjo Beans.

      Hope this helps

      • I’ll give that a crack. Thanks!!

  • Thanks bought 2kg of the sumatra smooth and rich blend for the first time.

    • That’s great didan. Please let us know how it goes for you!

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Great timing, bought a kilo of Sumatra - been having Enterprise for a while but curious to try a different option!

    • Super pleased the timing worked for you Jiffy. Thanks for sharing.
Please let us know how the Sumatra compares for you!

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Happy New Year, and thanks, Dan, for the deal!

I took my Breville Barista Express machine and a bag of Sumatra blend with me on my holiday to Melbourne. The family we stayed with owns a café, and they were amazed by the coffee I made. They even said it was truly exceptional!"

    • Hey Happy New Year to you too Markoov. That’s super super feedback from the crew in Melbourne. Thank you so much for sharing.

And great work on taking the kit on holidays 💪🏽💪🏽

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Thanks, bought two

    • Great stuff. Thanks OzBragain!!

  • Got my 1kg bag. Thanks OP.

    • Thank you Ferocious! We really appreciate your business.

  • Grabbed 2 bags of the Sumatra Bend. Gave it a try a few months ago and both the Mrs and I love the taste at a great price.

That's great to hear duckieboy - thanks so much for your order and for sharing!

  • Op if I purchase a bag that is ground for espresso, would the grind size suit a breville bambino machine? I bought espresso grind size 4 from another supplier and it suited my machine but not sure if that is a standard size across all coffee suppliers? Thanks.

    • Hey there sarah2019 - the grind size numbers will be different between grinders but yes, our espresso grind will work with the Bambino no problem. Thanks for asking.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Just purchased a breville barista express! Any tips on what grind level to start out with your beans?

    • Hey there seraphim64 - congrats on the new kit. In terms of grinding you will always need to dial in any new blend to your own kit - there's unfortunately no "universal" grind size - even with same models and same beans they will differ. We have a helpful Dialling In guide here https://airjo.com/pages/dialling-in which should help.

If you need help when running a few shots just shoot me an email [email protected] and i can try and help.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • How long does this deal last?

    • Hey callumkhang - ends this coming Friday.

  • Just bought 1kg of the Sumatra beans. I got a Timemore Sculptor 064s and a Bambino Plus over Black Friday and have been working with some Five Senses beans that are on the older side but still getting some pretty good results for my palette so very excited to dial these in!

    • Hey BTheunissen - thanks so much for the order and congrats on the new kit - please let us know how the Sumatra goes for you!!

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Thanks OP! Grabbed 2kg.

    • Awesome Popohappy. Thank you so much!

  • Usually I buy local up here in FNQ but since Cruze Coffee got sold (and went to sh*t) I'm going to give these guys a go instead. Just ordering 1kg now.

    • Thanks so much chickentaste - please let us know how it goes for you.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Ordered. 2x one-kg bags. Thanks for posting dan

    • Great stuff!! thanks danbal!!

  • Which blend would you recommend for a drip coffee machine?
Looking for something to go well with different types of milk - regular, oat, etc.

    • +1

Hey daniltara- I recommend the Enterprise Blend as a great one to start with.

      Cheers
      Dan

      • Thank you, ordered a 1 kg bag to try :)

  • bought 2kg refill - thanks Dan

    • Thanks so much gibberish - genuinely appreciate it.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Stuck between Sumatra and Enterprise (also keen to try the Centaur, but perhaps next time).

I've purchased Sumatra before, but that was for cold brew. First time buying Airjo for espresso (for both long blacks and with oat milk).

    Tips/Recommendations? TIA

    • +1

Hey there Sena86 - I recommend the Enterprise this time. Centaur is quite a jump from Sumatra so a good "middle ground" would be the Enterprise.

      I hope that helps.

      Cheers
      Dan

      • Thanks Dan, I'll give the Enterprise a shot and save the Centaur for next time. Thanks again!
