This deal was actually active and displayed yesterday in a NSW Woolworths. I yoinked some and made a parfait. Tasty.

I think these Strawberry deals are on a store by store basis.
A local Coles had 3 punnets for $3 recently, while the next closest store had 3 punnets for $5. Likely based on the local (over)supply, as of the punnets I expected about half had mouldy strawberries.
Why do people even buy these things, do they not have any taste buds?

Price is already on sale at Woolies Brisbane Airport too, probably the best strawberries I've had from a supermarket in Aus as well.

Strawberries are $1 at markets at the moment. Not the best flavour though, Harris Farm premium range are better.
Also for anyone looking for a bargain on blueberries head to Harris Farm. Three punnets for $9.75, Woolworths was $6 a punnet yesterday at my local.

U can freeze them and use in slushy cocktails
Was in Coles a day or 2 ago and they had a table with a stack of $1 each strawberry packs on it.
Didn't know if it was store only promotion or external, but going from your post I assume it's a Coles vs Woolies promotion against each other.
