    The night shot in second pic is good. Gives a good example of what it will look like in the dark with limited light.

    Absolutely. It's a nice warm mat (with an R value of 4.2, in tech talk) so it will keep you pretty warm if the ground is cold. These things have been tested anywhere from high in the mountains of NZ to the tropical beaches of QLD. :)
