Black and purple band colours available.

Appears to be a decent price, via pricehipster the other cheapest prices I could find are Harvey Norman at $176 and JB Hi-Fi at $178.

The Garmin Vivofit 2 at Target is also $84.15 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/172320033403 Currently a good price, although has been $79 earlier this year and has been superseded by the Vivofit 3, this can be purchased for about $40 more at Harvey Norman

  • I just got offered one of these through my new Super Fund (MLC) for $20, I guess to cover shipping.

I should probably pull the trigger..

lol @ the neg, someones Jelly! :P~~~~

  • How's this compare to fitbit HR?

What are other good fitness watches?

    • Same features, but this is waterproof… You can go swimming with it. Got one for my wife… Only negative is that one of the features is you can complete against friends which encourages fitness.. However most people have fitbits.. Id rate this above the fit bit.

  • Nice bit of kit but caution they scratch very easily. I had to buy purpose made screen protectors from US. Then when I pulled off the first screen protector after a while, the screen cracked right across the middle, only from removing the screen protector!

Have had mine since Jan this year (got via this - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/232467). Mine is currently unscratched, and has worked without any issues. I wear it all the time - only take it off when having a shower (it's waterproof, but I just don't like wearing it whilst the band is wet) - I am however pretty careful with my watches. My wife on the other hand would have broken it in less than a day.

Anyhow, battery lasts for a good 5 days between charging (I did prefer my vivofit that lasted for over a year, but then again this does HR monitoring, as well as incoming call alerts which was pretty much the only reason why I was wearing my pebble which also needed to be charged once a week or so). Accuracy of both measuring steps and heart rate are both pretty good. Not perfect, but near enough.

Anyhow, overall I'm pretty happy with it and this is a decent price for it. If you are with MLC and are offered one for $20 I'd jump on it without hesitation. Only minor complaint - a couple of times I've accidentally started music on my mobile. Just need to manually lock the Garmin if that is a frequent issue.

    • Thanks for the info dude, appreciate it.

    • Does it have continuous HR monitoring like the Fitbit Charge HR?

      EDIT
      NVM, Google says yes.

      • Yep. Obviously can't monitor whilst being charged, which only takes a couple of hours maybe, but other than that you end up with a record of your heart beat 24hours/day. Like I said, it's not perfect - every now and then I'll look at it and the number is way off because it's not sitting properly on my wrist, but it all evens out. Oh, I should say that I tend to wear it pretty loose on my very hairy wrist so suspect it would be less prone to hiccups if I put it on a little tighter - but personally it's good enough for me as it is. I was more interested in working out what my average resting heart rate was/is, and want to monitor that over time as I (hopefully) do a little more exercise.

    • I'm with MLC, how do I get the $20 offer?
