Received an email saying this sale is generally for DJ Amex card holders, Storecard holders, and email subscribers.
Sale is on the 1st June 2010 from:
5pm - 10pm at all stores in NSW, VIC and ACT.
5pm - 9pm at all stores in QLD and SA.
9:30am - 6pm in suburban stores in WA (9:30am - 9:30pm at Hays street mall store)
Coles and Woolies are in the retail space champ! :)
ah I meant coles/woolies for groceries , myer/dj's for retail therapy ;-)

Looks like they (cunningly) are trying to extract more money on products that would have just been sold more cheaply at single clearance sales in past years.
Before you know it, they will have pre-pre clearance sales, then pre-pre-pre clearance sales
There isn't any actual clearance sales any more, with the advance in IT and inventory control, they know exactly what they have, and where they have it. So they can implement an plan to ensure the maximum return on their stock.
All these sales are just marketing rather than actual clearance sale where they actually have to clear stuff out for next season.
prefer waiting for clearance sales than pre-clearance :-)

Update: Went to DJ at Glen SC around 5pm. Checked out the clothing and saw some okay stuff. The DJ clothing at glen isn't that great to start off with, so I can imagine that Chaddy DJ must be awesome. Prob worth to check out for ppl with time.
