Grabbed one of these so will see how it goes. Thanks

    • $2.48 ;)
Edit: sellers rating 2.5 star so buy at your own risk

      • I have one of those ones, you can see in the 1st pic how one screw has a significantly thicker body than the other? I found that none of my keys fit it, and I couldn't have 8 keys on one side of it and 0 on the other because they don't supply anything to block that side out.

  • Those are definitely cheaper let us know if you got one or have links to feedback/reviews so we can compare and decide which one to get.

  • Whats the difference/advantage of using one of these instead of a keyring?

I think the idea is it operates like a swiss army knife. So your keys aren't dingling dangling around. It does add weight but some people cut the top off the keys to make it lighter. In a nutshell, it's neat and quiet.

If you want this style of keyring you really should be going for the Orbitkey http://www.orbitkey.com/.

You will find that the cheaper aluminum versions lack a D-Ring which means you will be constantly tightening the screws. Another feature is the use of real leather which help mitigate scratches on things like your mobile phone.

The aluminum is also really thin so over time you'll find it'll warp. Buy a good quality keyring and it'll last you years.

Thanks for the feedback. Did look at the orbitkey but couldn't justify spending $40 on a key organiser. I'm sure its a great product and great quality. Will see how it goes with the $10 cheapie. If its last a few years for me that will be a bonus :) If not, live and learn.

      • Your post is still a good deal. It'll give people an idea of what its like to own this style of keyring and they can decide later if they want to invest more :)

      • Yep, it is not worth $45 no matter which way you look at it.

    • I have the Orbitkey and love it (grey leather), which goes great with my grey Bellroy wallet.

@ Hirolol, mobo is right in its main purpose.
When tighten right, it also minimizes keys scratching other things(less surface area exposed), like mobiles, etc.
Plus there is a option to get a USB flash drive/stick.

They have launched a V2 version on KS, so I will most likely get.
Some Improvements are thicker & padded leather, minor fittings upgraded, easier to change/remove keys, slimmer USB flash key.

  • I bought one of these. They aren't good quality and not suitable for all keys. If you don't have enough keys on them the keys are held quite loosely and move around a bit. save your pennies folks.

I use the original (KeySmart) and wouldn't be without it. Pricey but you get what you pay for.

If you are in Melbourne you can get these cheapo copies in Arthur Daley's on Swanston for $5.
