This seems to be a good price for a 22 inch monitor.

Checking on the dell site, this appears to be an old model which has now been replaced (by the ST 2210 I would guess).
It lacks the HDMI of the newer model, and the tech specs suggest it has a lesser panel, but for some it may be a good excuse to upgrade from the old CRT's!

I should mention it is one of ebay's BigDeal promotions. This means it is fixed price, free postage and a certain amount of guaranteed stock (showing 10+ at time of posting).

    i have heard there are adapters you can buy on ebay, that let you connect a games console to monitors and get sound, so for $89 you cant go wrong (dont hate on me if you can prove me wrong)

      I don't understand why people would negative vote it. Hot deals normally don't last long because its a special promotion with normally a limited number (as they are most likely clearing out old stock). If I were to miss out on a certain deal such as the ShoppingSquare voucher promo, then I just say to myself 'so be it that I missed out'. You can't have everything all the time.

      not really, most people bought 1-2 which means it's for personal use.

          Under Dell's terms & conditions of sale, a warranty is invalidated if the product is resold.

          then if they are going to resell these - good luck

          ie the new person to buy from them will probably have to pay more than $109 and get no warranty ( $89 plus shipping which without dells bulk shipping rates would most likely be close to $20 or more) not much profit for ow.

            Computer hardware warranties will usually run from the manufacture date without any sales receipt.

    If you want to know how many there are, just search for "available quantity" in the ebay web page source HTML.
    One buyer took 5 so far at the new price. Ebay is going to be flooded with small resellers of these.
    You might even get one cheaper by bidding on an actual auction :-)

    Oh Dell …
    I just had a phone call from them. They are out of the S2209W that I paid for. That is so Dell!!!
    My blood-pressure rises as the up-sell comes for the S2210, but no hook. No asking for extra money or refund, as Dell has done so often before.

    The new model has HDMI in (save $5 on an adapter), but I don't think it is as good. Less bright, no VESA mount.
    They advertise "only 2 CCFL lamps instead of 4" as an energy-saving feature, but it looses brightness. I hope the illumination is even.

    Anyway, for the price, can't complain. Still has a 3yr advance exchange warranty.
    Anyone else had the call?

      Yep i got a call at about 8PM. Though I wouldn't get too angry about it, probably an error in their stock inventory which does happen sometime. I'm not too concerned about the mount but there is 50 cd/m2 drop in brightness due to the energy saving design. Apart from getting a newer model screen instead (with brightness drop) this is still a stellar deal.

      Will let y'll know when i get it
