      Sorry, usually when I see "Refurbished" on ebay, it means "wiped clean".
      But this does appear to come with a 12 month Sony warrantee. (Grays warrantee is worthless). Cool.

  I had this camera but didn't get great pictures from it and quite heavy as well. Eventually returned it and bought Sony HX50 and quite happy with that.

  On a side note, can anyone recommend a similar camera at this price point? or is it possible to get an acceptable DSLR under $200?

  bridge cameras, longzooms, superzooms, or megazooms; they're all pretty much the same thing: a large lens slapped on the front of a point-and-shoot camera… full-featured models with digital SLR-style bodies, accepting that they still have the shooting performance and photo quality of a compact camera.

    Check past prices on the Nikon D3200 / 3300. I think the cheapest new was $250 with the rather decent 18-55 kit lens.
