Samsung Galaxy S6 32GB 4GX (Black), $638 @ JB Hi-Fi

120

Cheapest I've seen on JB so far? For those who are not wanting to buy it from KoganDick or any other overseas stock stores (including grey market stock), this is a good deal. Mobiliciti selling it for a dollar cheaper however their phone has Optus branding (really doesn't matter but still…).

    I'd be cautious about a 32gb phone without an SD slot personally, but different people have different needs.

      If you use app esp social media, 16gb won't be enough quickly

      • thankfully its 32gb

        • +1

          Yes, but around 10gb will be already taken by the OS and other mandatory stuff. So really you have around 20gb to play around with.

          @alz:

          System data is 7gigs on a Note 5.

        • @alz: you're looking at 24-5 GB if similar to other samsung phones, 8-9 GB more than 16… do get your point though

  • Sorry guys, didn't read the last sentence: "Handsets are unlocked and work with any Australian network provider, but do feature Telstra software".

    So this phone does have Telstra Branding I am assuming?

      It means just that, unlocked but will have Telstra apps/load screens

      Came here to say this. $150 extra for the latest and greatest. If you've got $640 to spend on a phone, chances are you can afford an extra $150 to get a much better product, and if you're not interested in the latest and greatest, you can probably pick up a 2nd hand S6 cheaply from someone upgrading to the S7.

    This more expensive than what they sold the 32GB edge for recently.

    • still i'd go for this over the edge, got the edge for my manager … he hates it to the point he prefers a Moto G to it… main reason ? if you hold it and your fingers wrap around a little the screen feels like its frozen (its actually a finger or two touching the curved edge bit of the screen when you try to press on the front screen) … pretty frustrating for him since he is a tall guy with bigger hands .. loll

      the next reasons is touch wiz which i already warned him he wont like going from a Moto…

    Worth getting Aus stock. I bought the S6 Edge during the JB deal and had major battery issues. Samsung replaced it, no issues, works perfectly now. Wouldn't have happened with grey stock (or a long fight at best). 32Gb is fine if you use the cloud and delete regularly. I hate a phone full of garbage. Have to agree with the comment about the Edge screen though - looks good but sensitive.
