i've never worried about the A/B ratings…. There aren't many A5/B5 oils out there
I have focused on API ratings (this one is SL) so i'd only use it if you car recommends that or lower
A5/B5 is better than A3/B4, so its not recommended.
Try the lube guides for Penrite, Nulon etc, should list the recommended oils
The only 3 oils that are readily available for us (I remember looking this up a while ago)

BUT penrite HPR5 is A3/B4 with . "It can also be used in vehicles which the manufacturer has specified fuel economy as: ILSAC GF-3/GF-4/GF-5, ACEA A1/B1 and A5/B5 in the description"
I wouldn't risk it. Stick to the minimum grade recommended by the manufacturer.

You can't really compare this to the Shell ultra deal as they different weight oils, this is still a good deal if you need 5w30 oil.

Just got 2. Plenty of stock left at Repco on South Road, St Marys in Adelaide.
Browns plains had none…..they only had 13 bottles to start off with…..
My local had none left - sold out of all oils on special by 9.30.
Ended up going down the road to price match at Super Cheap, which they did no problem :)
every time my local repco says sold out even when the door first opens. so I don't bother going there anymore.
Sold to staff at close of business the night before then straight to gumtree.
Damn. Next time just go straight to supercheap and price match I guess… They had a pallet of 5w30 when I went haha.
