Surface has become a good product but unfortunately due to brand name now has an ultra premium price. Therefore I'll never buy one new.

I'm all for high powered ultra portables, but this is nuts.

A lot of money to spend still. Another option is get the m3 or i5 version and build a powerful desktop with the extra $1200.

The Surface Pro 4 Line is still riddled with issues that Intel/Microsoft haven't gotten around to fixing yet. I like my Surface, but the combination of poor battery life and WiFi disconnecting after sleep makes it difficult to recommend at this price. I agree with many of the commenters here and go with either the m3 or i5 versions.
