Fujifilm X-T10 Camera Body Silver $498 (after $200 CashBack) @ Harvey Norman

240

Cheaper than the previous deal I posted.
Cashback offer expires July 31th, so hurry up if you want this. Fuji approved my claim within 10mins once I uploaded the invoice. Not sure if AmEx offer works since I don't have an AmEx card.

Note: the direct link to the camera shows 404 error, so just manually search X-T10 and you can add it to cart, then checkout.

Edited: Cashback offer link

Damn shame about the video quality, looks like a decent snapper nonetheless.

  • Do they send you the invoice as soon as you buy? There aren't any local where I am so I'd have to buy online.

    • Not always. Invoice gets generated once the order is processed at store level. Not worth the risk if you are looking for the cash back. For example I purchased a Nokia 930 from this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/244694. Purchase date was 23/4/16. Invoice date was 3/5/16.

    • Umm, actually I didn't buy it from HN but another shop. According to the T&C, as long as the purchase date on the invoice is before July 31th, you can claim it later (with the camera's serial number) no later than the end of August. Hope this will help.

    • Just FYI, another possibility is to let JB/Ted's/Myer price match this deal, which are the retailers on the cashback list.

  • Can anyone recommend a good everyday go to lens to pair with it for a holiday?

I like Fuji for their primes, but if you want the versatility of a zoom, the XF18-55mm F2.8-4 is probably your best bet. Should be able to get the cashback on it as well.

      • +1

        Agreed. The primes are amazing.

I don't think there is cashback on the 18-55 at the moment. Might be better off trying to find a good second hand one.

        • Yep you're right, my bad. I was looking at the previous cashback promotion, which still appears on google for some reason… Suppose I could have just clicked the link on this page haha.

      • I actually bought the X-T10 with XF18-55 lens kit, for a total of $903 before TRS ($800 after TRS). Couldn't find a cheap XF18-55 anywhere.

        • Hi, asking on behalf of my niece, do you mind sharing with us where you got the kit from? That's a good price for the kit

        • @annakira: Bought it from Camera Electronics Perth. Sorry for the late reply, worth giving them a call?

        • That's ok, she bit the bullet and bought the body from HN. Now to hunt for a reasonably priced lens…

    • I travel with the 35mm f/1.4. It is a brilliant and relatively compact lens (around 50mm equivalent). The 28mm 2.8 is supposed to be a great deal as you can find them for really cheap at times (under $200). That would give you about a slightly wider view than the 35mm and a seriously compact kit.

The 18-55mm is supposed to be pretty good if you think you need the zoom range. It is considerably bigger than the 35mm or 28mm though.

    • The 18-55 is a good bet but if you want to be really cheap even the dirt cheap and plasticky 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 is pretty good, and I like it because it goes wide, and weighs almost nothing. Optionally you can pair that with a fast prime like the 35mm f/1.4 for people shots/nighttime.

    • The 16-50 is compact and starts at 24mm. Pair that with a 35/2 and youre all set.

      • …Great minds…

  • Perfect timing. almost bought from DigiDirect.

Thanks OP! Time to upload my invoice.

Get one of the XF lenses from eBay. The 18-55mm is a good all rounder. I've that that one plus the cheaper XC 50-200mm and the 60mm prime. The prime is amazing but for every day photos the 18-55mm is perfect.

  • By the way, this is an amazing deal. It's double the price in the UK and the UK normally has cheaper prices. I have the X-E1 but it annoys me because of the slow and poor auto focus, despite the picture quality being unbelievable. So I'm upgrading to this. Some reviews here:

  • Thanks for all the feedback, very helpful. I'll pickup a 35mm to get started

    Looks like it's gone now.
Infact, it looks like they've hidden the result from their website…

  • Got an email from Fujifilm.

We are happy to inform you that your claim has been approved. :)

Should get my money in 28 days.
